Loved it here. The old Cape Dutch architecture was so beautiful and the thatch felt cosy. A bit isolated if you are alone, but there is a night watchman with a big fierce dog to keep you safe! Great breakfast, served outside in the garden. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Overpriced , room very small . no bath soap. breakfast very basic. I was very very disappointed in just about everything and would recommend that you find alternative accommodation. It was a rip off and even the parking and help with the luggage was poor.

We stayed for 2 nights & I wish it was for longer. The Manor House is charming,(great for photographs) and the views over the vineyards are stunning. Our booking was straightforward. We received a warm but informal welcome on check in and our room was clean and well appointed with all the necessary amenities. The extra special touch to this...

We had a lovely 2 night stay, the rooms and ensuite are large. The staff are warm and welcoming. Nice quiet location, down a long drive away from the road. Small but pleasant swimming pool area. Considering there are only 3 rooms available, it's great that there is a pool area and comfortable sunbeams to relax between eating and tasting...

We booked Basse Provence in March 2016 and funny enough the only suite available for our holiday was the Honeymoon Suite named also the Elizabeth Suite was beautiful and very comfortable. Amazing pool area with sensational views and very peaceful. We enjoyed our time there immensely and hope to go back one day. We did advise Management that there were...

The wife and I stopped for a late lunch at the Rickety Bridge Old Manor House on 2 January 2017. What a great experience. We will definitely visit again. Great food, great wine and amazing views of the Franschhoek Valley.

Have been there today at lunchtime. Food is exceptional with a good choice. Staff were wonderful, very warm and friendly. The views were extraordinary with very high mountains and acres and acres of grapevines. There is also wine tasting and the wine we tasted was of a very good quality. It is one of the best vineyards we have been...

Perfect for what we needed...a couple of nights away from it all...stunning setting and room and service were ideal! Not to mention the lavender fields and ostrich retreat next door! Would recommend for couples with a need for relaxation.

Good Morning I am so sorry that you felt lonely at the manor house Suzie. This is a 200-year-old building with all of the charm of days gone by, the quietness and peace is what we strive for, however, I apologise for this, in your case being a little too quiet. I will definitely take these comments into consideration. Fond...
