Enjoyed staying in this Guest House. Host Grace gave us some good information for our stay. The house is situated well in walking distance to Main Street and all the Restaurants. From the garden and the terrace you have perfect views of this nice valley and wine region. Good value for your money.

Not really sure where to start with this B&B; overall it was, quite frankly, awful - and the reason we've delayed writing a review is it's hard to decide whether the owners are frugal, short of funds, or simply running down their business and/or unaware of how badly it compares to other B&Bs in Franschhoek. In the end, the only... More

Warm, friendly atmosphere. Old school polite owners made this a very good stay. Good parking. Amenities are very good as is the location. Highly recommend this B&B. Excellent breakfast. Definitely will go back. Afternoon tea was very good.

Franchoek like Dullstroom is really the yuppie place to be. Notwitstanding this it is really beautiful. Most accommodation is overpriced and meant for foreign tourists. Cape Vue is real old time value and I felt that it was reasonably priced and value for money. It is quiet, stylish and well equipped . I really enjoyed my stay.

The Cape Vue guest house offers delightful accommodation in the most beautiful town of Franschhoek. I have nothing but praise for Grace and Michael - they went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as "good as can be". The room was both spacious and comfortable and the view out onto the mountains is beyond description. Breakfast... More

Had a lovely stay here as part of a winelands tour (Accommodation was organised for us). The location is perfect, a 5 minute (if that!) walk from the main street in Franschhoek. We were staying in a room at the front of the house which received the afternoon sun onto the porch so when we arrived we were offered tea... More

For the price charged I was very disappointed in the room and the attention to detail. There was one ply toilet paper ( which says cheap) no little shampoos or bubble bath. No Tv in the room and the decor of the whole place was very old and shabby. We were then asked at breakfast the next morning to please... More

We had a wonderful time here due to the friendly host, great surroundings, top class breakfast and of course the abundance of guinea fowls who get their food every morning and afternoon!!! Also great value for money, especially considering the relative expensive area of south africa.

Stayed 2 nights at the start of our South African road trip and Cape Vue Guest House was the perfect introduction. Beautiful setting, homely accommodation, friendly host and staff, great breakfast and very close to lovely little Franschhoek as well as many wineries. Great value and would definitely return.

Our biggest regret is that we only stayed one night, on a quick sweep across the country. Cape Vue was a highlight of our trip. The owners were friendly. Free wifi. Great full breakfast, complete with freshly squeezed grape juice from grapes they grow on their property. We were free to eat grapes from their vineyards, too. It was only... More
