Walking distance to the town centre and close to a few of the larger wineries. The pool is great and the breakfasts are good. We received a warm welcome from the owners when we arrived but unfortunately that was the end of it. It was a bit strange being sat by the pool with the owner sunbathing next to you...

Dear Guest, I think it's absolutely ok when no guest is around that my wife is also using the pool and this was the case as you joint the pool area late while Christina was still swimming. Anyway, I agree it is a little bit inappropriate that Christina sends you to our staff for your table while she had breakfast...

Thank you to Wolfgang and the team for a wonderful stay in this most beautiful location. Every aspect of the house and the rooms is exquisite. We could easily have stayed another few days. Absolutely first class.

Stayed for 2 nights - perfect location - quiet with breathtaking views in the garden. We were in the Garden Cottage suite - 2 bedrooms and a spacious lounge and kitchen area - which suited us perfectly - one very happy teenager with his own space. Wolfgang and Christina were the perfect hosts - providing us with restaurant suggestions and...

This hotel was the icing on the cake for me to celebrate a special birthday. We stayed in the Blue Room which was superb with a huge bathroom The room was large and spacious and the most comfortable bed. The pool area is spectacular with beautiful surrounding gardens. Also outside our bedroom was a smaller more intimate pool. The breakfasts...

Stayed for four nights in the black room which was beautifully decorated and also had a huge bathroom with double baisins, walk-in shower and bath. The garden was fantastic. Parts of it were like an English country manor with a swing seat under a weeping willow and rows of white roses, yet when looking out over the pool at all...

I have stayed several times and each year it gets better. The attention to detail is absolutely outstanding. It is very peaceful and beautifully furnished. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and you feel as if you are in someone's private treasured home. The pool is fantastic and in all my trips to South Africa I have never experienced one...

This is the second time we've stayed here and again we stayed in  the black room - which is triple aspected with a smaller semi private pool and tables & chairs outside both sets of French doors. The gardens are beautiful with a backdrop of the fabulous mountains. It is still a wonderful place to stay but we felt it...

Dear Gillian, Thank you for your review. However allow me to make a few comments: As you have stayed in the Black Room already a second time, you obviously haven't realized that the shower has been changed with a bigger head. Further you might haven't seen all the products in the bathroom from Charlotte Rhys, so far any guest enjoyed...

This was far & away the best of 4 guest houses we used during our stay in the country. There’s a lovely tranquil, immaculate, boutique environment in beautiful gardens. The breakfasts are superb and the complimentary evening shuttle service to local restaurants is much appreciated. The owners and all the staff see to it that your stay is delightful. I...
