What more could you ask for from a lunch venue. Beautiful food, outstanding views, great service. The table by the window was the place to be. Coffee or wine on the lawn after lunch looking down over the vineyards. Bliss.
The views from this B& B can’t be beat. We stayed in Room 9 (the Bridal Suite), which is large with a huge bathroom, walk-in shower and double sink. Very comfortable. The terrace is lovely to sit and enjoy a glass of wine, maybe a...More

Stayed La Petite Ferme in early October and enjoyed the stay. It is a beautiful property up the hill from Franschhoek. The view is spectacular. The rooms are nicely appointed and very spacious. My room had a large patio that over looked the town. Now...More

We want to stay at La Petite Ferme, in Franshoek. We don't have a car and will arrive by taxi. We would stay in the Lakeside apartments. We want to explore Franshoek whilst there and visit local wineries in the town. Could we walk up and down to the town from La P. Ferme? How far is it from town? ...and could we reach the wine train easily from there? Any informed information gratefully received. Thank you.

Sorry it has taken me a few days to respond - I think it's probably a 2-3 mile walk into town and the wine train is almost smack in the middle of town. And it's not that easy of a walk; the first hall is along a pretty busy road with lots of fast traffic. I think it would be easier and safer to take a cab. The hotel office is closed starting early evening so it can be a little hard to arrange for a cab unless you reserve it early. It's a great hotel, just not that convenient to the downtown area.
