Recommended to us by our travel rep. Had to book well in advance but it was worth it - the food was great (as was the wine!) and the views were amazing. Will definitely go back when we're next in Franschhoek!
visited La Petite Ferme for lunch whilst on a 4 day stay in Franschoek. Wow, it was amazing. The surroundings and views were wonderful and the service and the food was just beautiful. A must when in Franschoek.
Lovely stay here. Our vista suite was set away from the main restaurant giving us perfect seclusion for two days. The views from the room and small pool are out of this world. The restaurant served up great breakfasts and lunch. Well worth a stay...More
Delicious Meal but this review is to make people aware that there is some kind of building work or generator currently in occurring in the car park which means that sitting outside does doesn't offer any peace. It's a real shame.

Sorry it has taken me a few days to respond - I think it's probably a 2-3 mile walk into town and the wine train is almost smack in the middle of town. And it's not that easy of a walk; the first hall is along a pretty busy road with lots of fast traffic. I think it would be easier and safer to take a cab. The hotel office is closed starting early evening so it can be a little hard to arrange for a cab unless you reserve it early. It's a great hotel, just not that convenient to the downtown area.
