Absolutely loved our stay in the Waterfall Cottage on the glorious Chamonix wine estate - rustic, charming, private and cosy. Excellent service from the lovely Natasha, who managed our reservation, welcomed us upon arrival and made sure all our needs were met during our stay. This delightful cottage and brilliant setting is an absolute gem, and we are sure to...

We specifically booked Leopard cottage well ahead of our trip. We were advised the day before arrival (when I called to confirm the booking) that they had double booked. We were offered a "more expensive" unit at the same price. Naturally we assumed it would be a similar standard. Leopard cottage has a flat screen TV, king bed, fireplace, balcony...

Great romantic place , great value for money and excellent service. The staff took great care of us during our stay at Chamonix . Wilderness at your door step ( Springbok , Zebra , Impala etc ). Excellent wines and wine tasting at the Racine restaurant. The main building were breakfast is served is filled with taxidermy of a number...

On our recent return holiday to South Africa we had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Marco polo Lodge every thing was fine until our check out, when one of our party went to settle his bill he discovered that his credit cards had been tampered with and money missing, I immediately checked my wallet & found that I...

Friendly staff for tastings, not a pretentious place and fabulous wines. Thank you. If you are about wines: the ONE tasting not to miss in Franschhoek If you are looking for a fun day out with the kids or for an extravagent winery to pop by (sound like a few estates are making a business out of this around there):...

After so many great reviews we have been appalled at the service we received from all but one great member of staff at the Marco Polo Lodge. The front of house team weren't aware of our booking when we arrived so we were put into a room which didn't feel prepared - the bathroom smelt damp and there weren't enough...

Recently stayed in the Marco Polo lodge for a wedding in the nearby area. The Lodge is a little out the way from the main town but you get stunning views in return which makes it worth while. Great balcony area overlooking the valley and the game reserve. The pool area is great too while the weather is so beautiful....

I have been going to Chamonix for past four years and have loved it, the accommodation and views are simply breathtaking and the lodge is beautiful and reasonable priced. They are very slack though on being organised. The previous year we arrived and our Leopard Lodge had been forgotten to be cleaned. This year we arrived only to be told...

Very comfortable rooms. Luxurious house with added touches such as a house butler. We had a pleasant stay at Marco Polo. Really great service with great views of the wine estate. A recommended visit for international guests with the wild life.

I highly recommend the Marco Polo lodges, had a great 2 night stay here, luxury accommodation and surroundings. The lounge areas are decorated with the owners game trophies, which we were aware of before booking, but they just add to the atmosphere of the place, it really was impressive. Great balcony area for stunning daytime views across the valley and...
