Fantastic place to stay in Franschoek. Rooms and cottages outstanding. Breakfasts very special. This on the outskirts, so very quiet and tranquil. Lovely gardens and lots of birdlife as well as squirrels.

We have been coming back to this beautiful well kept secret for years now. Rooms are really fantastic. Rustic fire places to heat up the winter chill. Feels like you are home. The staff are super friendly and have also been working here for years. Ask for John the Nightwatch man. He packs a great fire for you just in...

We loved our stay here. The rooms were large and beautifully appointed, each different. The gardens and public spaces are warm and inviting and beautiful. The staff and managers were all friendly and helpful. Would love to return!

We stayed only two nights slightly out if season and were met with a warm welcome and attention from the owners and their Labrador. Lovely people and really friendly staff. Very safe and we even came home to a real fire in our room. .

We stayed in the Auberge for the Bastille weekend festival and although the town was bustling with visitors, we could retreat into the serenity of the guesthouse/boutique hotel. Within walking distance of the town and yet secluded with the most beautiful gardens and scenery. We had a cottage of our own with a fireplace and underfloor heating, which was great...

Magnificent Franschhoek surrounds this guest house with the grandeur of its mountains and rolling mists. Our stay was lovely in every way. I highly recommend charming L'Auberge Chanteclair. My daughter was moved to a larger room at no extra cost for the last night of our stay.

What a lovely place, rooms are fab, location stunning and the owners very friendly. Very handy for Franschoek although you do need a car (or use a local taxi). Breakfast very nice outside on the terrace. Pool to sit by to unwind while digesting all the lovely food and wine in the area.

L'Auberge Chanteclair is wonderfully peaceful and yet hardly any distance from the hubbub of Franschhoek. Lovely gardens brimming with fruit trees, vines and olives make for quiet corners. An excellent breakfast and pleasant service make this place a winner.

Stayed here for just two nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The place is amazing, glorious views of the mountains, luxurious accommodation and so peaceful. Beautiful swimming pool and gardens. The hospitality was second to none - Bruce and Linda were so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts on the sun-drenched patio were wonderful too! We loved Franschhoek -...
