The reception that we received when we arrived was warm and friendly and this hospitality was maintained throughout. I would definitely recommend GUBAS DE HOEK to anyone looking for a place to stay in Robertson. I will be back.

Gubas de Hoek was one of the most pleasant surprises I had. It is in Robertson in the heart of a magnificent, mostly unexplored wine region with plenty to do to warrant a two day stay. The guesthouse boasts impeccably clean rooms, great ambiance and Gunther and Balbila, the owners, are gracious hosts. Balbila makes sure that all is well...

I needed one night's accommodation for 3 family members and found this superb guesthouse in the town, which served our purpose for being in Robertson. Home-from-home with attention to detail in EVERY aspect of the stay. The staff were professional, friendly, attentive and helpful. The full breakfast was fantastic. Balbina, the owner, clearly loves her 'home' and enjoys the guests...

We met some lovely people; ate and drank very well and slept like a dream in our splendid apartment. The owners and their lovely staff were engaging, helpful and lots of fun. Our stay at Gubas De Hoek certainly enhanced our return visit to the delightful town of Robertson. And we will return to both!

The only thing missing from this delightful Pension is a sign saying "Zimmer Frei". It is a lovely old building with high ceilings, comfortable accommodation, an excellent South African breakfast and hospitable owners.

Balbina made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and I must comment on the pillow menu!! What a pleasure to be offered a decent pillow instead of the usual Dunlop 4x4 pillows!!! Gunter's cooking was excellent, and we will remember the duck breast on Saturday evening. 5* award! Thanks for having us, if we visit Robertson again...
