We were on a luxury trip around South Africa and stayed in very nice lodges very night. Fraai Uitzicht 1798 was by far the nicest for a number of reasons. On arrival we had a very warm and personal welcoming and Sandra, the 'Lady of the House' so to speak, showed us around the property. Lush gardens and stunning mountains...

My husband and me stayed at this amazing wine farm over the weekend. There are so much things to offer: we went mountain biking and visited lovely wine farms. We stayed in one of the cottages- what a dream! You can feel that the owners and hosts Sandra and Karl put all her passion and love in their wine farm...

We have visited Sandra and Karl on four occasions over the last ten years so we can be described as addicted. I describe it a a spa for all the senses. The views are spectacular, particularly at sunset which when we in January lasted for several hours. Karl's love of wine making and the results of the hard work in...

Huge bath tubs lit with blue LEDs, fireplaces, outdoor showers, and beautiful gardens. This is one of the best small lodges we have found in South Africa. The lodge is in the middle of the Robertson wine area and some wonderful wines are very close by. This lodge is luxury defined in the winelands.

We arrived well after dark, around 1930 on our check-in day, yet were eagerly greeted by the owners, Karl and Sandra Uwe. The kitchen was kept open on our behalf and we were so incredibly blessed by the culinary experience! Without a doubt, one of, if not -the- best meal I have ever enjoyed! Springbok carpaccio, beef fillet, and vanilla...

What a lovely place! We enjoyed fabulous food and wine in this truly pittoresque and well kept vineyard. The rooms are very carefully designed and spacious and the beds perfect! We truly enjoyed the warm and welcoming atmosphere set by the Papesh-family and staff. And not to forget - the Chateau neuf Papesch wine! Thank you!!

We stayed here for the last night of our trip to South Africa on the way back to Cape Town airport and really do wish we could have stayed longer. The beautiful cottages are set in gardens around a pool which overlooks the nearby vineyards and the views are perfect. We had the lunchtime tasting menu with paired wines and...

if you have a hard time to relax this will be the place for you. Charming service, great food and just a very soothing atmosphere. So maybe it's even a good thing that the Wifi doesn't work properly. I would love to stay there again.

We stayed just one night on route from Franschhoek to Oudtshoorn and what a great choice ! We stayed in Reisling cottage tucked quietly away but the highlight was the superb dinner we enjoyed as the sun disappeared behind the distant mountains. It had been 42C that day so the relative cool of the evening was as welcome as the...

This was the second stop on our tour of SA last November. What a fantastic place it is. A small winery, with an award winning restaurant. We had a lovely bungalow in the grounds, with its own veranda, looking across the lawn to the swimming pool. The meals were served on a large deck with the most beautiful views. The...
