Beautiful guesthouse, excellent service. Fantastic breakfast. Best in the Cape! Beautiful fruit platters made by owner. World class accommodation. I can recommend with great pride this South African guest house as the best value for money.

The accommodation was equivalent to a 7 star hotel. Breakfast was prepared by the owner, himself and it was a work of art. Excellent hosts. Beautifully appointed suite. Highly recommended. Our hosts were very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and they had every conceivable niknak one could need to make the stay pleasurable.

Dear Misseyles Thank you for this review and all the compliments but seven stars would be a bit preposterous! We'd like to think of our service as such and indeed our local knowledge that only comes with being born and bred proud South Africans. We often shake our heads in disbelief when told what tourists are made to believe by...

Our luxurious suite had everything weary travelers (ourselves) could need. The bar fridge was stocked. Tea,coffee and chocolate drinks were all available. Fresh milk was in the fridge. We had immaculate kitchen facilities. The most comfortable of king size beds was made with gorgeous white linen. All this and then more, but most of all, our hosts were considerate, attentive...

This home from home Guess house is a must stay. A hidden gem! Johan and Jo-anne make you feel part of the family with their warm welcome and hospitality. What a lovely place to stay! Johan and Jo-Anne make you feel as though you are part of their family. Breakfast on the veranda looking out on their gorgeous garden was a lovely way to start the day. The room was great with a very comfortable bed. We hope to be back when we are next in Somerset West!

Dear megraeg Thank you for this great review and all the wonderful compliments. We hope to see you next time you visit! Let's hope Rafiki sticks to chasing squirrels and not the neighbours' escaped rabbit... Thanks to you being so observant it ended well! Season's greetings Johan and Jo-Anne

Being a Cape Townian, I thought I knew all there was to know about hospitality in South Africa; but I was very wrong. Blaauwheim Guest House is a must-stay, whether you are a local or tourist. The location is stunning and the atmosphere so tranquil, and the friendliness of JoAnn and Johan made it feel like a home away from...

Dear Sara Thanks for putting a smile on my face with this lovely review! Staying at Blaauwheim was therefore not only the right choice but also the perfect choice after attending the wedding. I'm glad you did not drive home but stayed with us. Your vegetarian preference did not faze Johan at all. We aim to satisfy all palates. Don't...

Dear Melan95 Thank you for caring enough to have written a review yourself! We do what we love and love what we do. The service is what one would expect from a 5 star hotel, with the added benefit of a very nice couple providing warmth and hospitality. The property and the garden are the best in the area and the rooms have every sort of comfort one could need.

Nothing, but nothing is too much trouble for Johan and Jo-Anne, who run this very comfortable guest house.
