This lodge is extremely dirty and run down. I was shocked at the bad condition. We were told that it was self catering and, while there was a kitchen available, it was filthy and we had a rat running over our food while we were trying to cook! There were also very few cooking supplies which is unacceptable for a...

Stayed there for one night in the 9 person dorm room. The place is filthy at best. No running water. Taps and toilet disfunctional. Only one working light and the electrics is an accident waiting to happen. At R2000 for the night, this was a complete rip-off. The website is completely deceptive.

This place looks as though it had a heyday. But it's long gone. Location is great and the doggy guided hike down the river was super. But the accommodation was substandard. The linen was not cleaned. We were charged for a 4 person room when there was only a double bed and a small sleeper couch forcing the 4th person...

I planned on hiking the Rockhopper trail with my family. In short the interaction with one employee and the very ignorant and rude son of the owner who claimed to not know and also not care about the trail nearly spoilt the day for us. Credit to the owner for answering my tel message later though.

This quaint little lodge was a great find. Whilst this is certainly not 5 star accomodation , the rooms were clean , spacious ,comfortable and cheap.
