Six years since we last visited Blue Ocean. Went there looking for the Friday night band and the Nasi Campur. Was disappointed and saddened to hear that "Mick Jagger" had passed two years ago and so no band. But definitely not disappointed with the food. Complimentary nibbles brought to us by the most delightful waitress was a good beginning. The...

This is one of the restaurants that is right across the street from DoubleSix beach. I tried my first nasi campur here (like a Balinese sampler plate). The food was good, but the server was a bit forgetful.

Four of us visited Blue Ocean. You receive complimentary ,Parmesan sticks, peanuts, and the best lime deep fried spinach. Yum! We were all happy with our meals and I would recommend the Japanese 3 fish meal for $ 13.00 AUD , it even looks just like the picture. The staff were lovely and we also got some more of the spinach leaves...

I have to add this review to my account. Blue ocean will always have a special place in my heart. Years ago this was the ideal place to be for a backpacker that I was. Cheap, perfectly located, and no fuss. Outdoor showers and bathroom. Ok. Kind of dirty but ok. Slept with a sheet and my own pillow. Ok....

The Ocean Blue is ok for people looking to save some money ideally located and pretty quiet but there are some cleanliness issues but the staff where friendly and I brought my own laundry sheets but other than that it was ok but might try something else next time. You get what you pay for!!

The tables were dirty, the staff rude and the menu overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. Actually had to request the staff to clean the table, ours was not the only dirty table. The food had better match up to expectations. The location is great, right on the beach located with wind blowing through the establishment. Asked for...

On leaving the Blue Ocean, the guy we traveled to Ubud with said, "I think they're still using the same bar of soap they were using 20 years ago." I was shocked that he had actually been given soap, but then realised it was an allegory. Toilet paper, a couple of frayed towells, and sleeping sarongs were provided, but they...

Don't expect to much of the rooms but the rooms are big and are kept clean every day. Bathroom is old but has warm water. If you want moee service just ask with a smile. I changed rooms to get a klamboo and got the best room with free wifi from neighbouring restaurant (room 4). The big plus is the...
