This is a small hotel with personal attention, with personal greetings by resort manager, reception greets you by name and we didn't have to ask twice for things to be done. The staff is aware at all times of your itinerary and reservation plans. Whilst it is slightly distant from main thoroughfare of shops, there is free shuttle service and...

Stayed here for our final night in Bali. Service was excellent and hotel itself is beautiful - really elegantly designed. Would highly recommend the massage experiences - the best I think I've ever had. Both breakfast and room service dinner were really nice and the villa/room was simply amazing.

Dear Joel, Thank you for your kind and flattering comments. The owner of the hotel is a Taiwanese interior designer lady, specialised in feng-shui design. She puts a lot of heart and art in The Amala design to make it a zen contemporary oasis ; I am sure she will be really happy to read your comments. Should you like...

I loved staying here. I was treated like a princess and had amazing butler service. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, always calling me by my first name. My husband and I were here on our anniversary and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The massages were amazing and I loved the privacy of the villas. I highly recommend...

The Amala is truly a hidden gem in Seminyak. I planned to attend a wedding in a hotel near Seminyak beach but heard about the bad traffic in Bali. So I sent an email to The Amala about how long does it usually take. Some of my friends warned me a normal 6-7 mins ride could cost you an hour....The...

The Amala is like an oasis of tranquility in the busiest part of Bali. Beautiful design for the whole complex. As the hotel is mostly private villas, common parts are little used and feel like your private space. We staid in the Deluxe Room which was perfect for three active days. Yoga and Spa are available in the hotel as...

claustrophobic. closed. small. really small. next to a 6 lane road. far from anything else the "villa" is a claustrophobic space with NO view any side - plain walls around you. very small dark bedroom. dark bathroom. volcanic dust in water. surprisingly no such thing in the Legian. a food space is like a triple size of a "villa", of...
