Prepare your own travel adapter and toothbrush if you're going to be staying here. Front desk speaks very limited english. 5-10 minutes walk from the Nakhon Ratchasima mall, which is across the street via the overhead bridge. Basic breakfast is served. Best if you have mosquito repellents as the rooms and lobby have a lot of hungry mosquitoes waiting to feed.

City Park Hotel is located opposite across the main road from "The Mall", Korat's biggest shopping centre. Using Map function on Tripadvisor gives an erroneous location. Its true location is very central. You can walk to the Mall for food and there is at least one car rental service near the hotel - head out from the lobby and turn left, about 50m. Attractions in Korat are few and far between, so you really need to drive. There is a massive car park just infront of the hotel. Free parking.

The hotel is located slightly back from the main road, so it is quiet. That also makes it very hard to find intially because it is not obvious from the main road. The building looks very new relative to other around it. The massive signboard is in Thai and the english signboard is a tiny one obscured by a tree and electrical cables.

Counter service is friendly and rooms are clean. There is wifi, albeit weak. There is cable tv with many channels on tv. I slept very well. Breakfast is basic.

During the time of my visit, this hotel only had a very simple one page website in Thai language with one contact number. There is no online booking and neither Tripadvisor or any online hotel booking agencies can give me an idea of the room rates. So I drove there and walked in. Low season rates now are 1300 baht a night including breakfast. Cheaper and newer than Dusit Princess, and with a better location.

This hotel is pretty convenient to just about anything around the city. You are close to the Korat mall and always easy to get a taxi to get around. The room is good sized and comfortable in the room. There is a restaurant off the lobby and they have some live entertainment with music often in the evenings. The bed was comfortable and you have a small fridge in the room that is stocked daily with a variety of beverages. Was very pleased with the stay at the city park hotel.

This was our 1st visit to City Park Hotel, and my wife and I would return. We asked for a quiet room and got that, on the top floor, backside of hotel.

Reception staff are really helpful and althoug no saftey boxes in rooms, there are at reception.

Hotel is only 3 years young and everything was working well.

Breakfast foods are jsut OK ( not exciting ) but clean and staff hekpful.

The Mall is only across the main road and it was easy to find a Tuk Tuk or Taxi around the hotel area.

The train station was only a 10 minute walk away too.

Room Tip: The Rear of the Hotel is the quiet side, away from the 6 lane main highway at the front!

Showing its age here and there, City Park is still a great little hotel with wonderful staff and most importantly ....clean and comfortable.
It has got all the basics: excellent air-con, multi channel t.v., wifi, bar fridge (two waters supplied but anything else you need...just stock up across the road at the Mall Supermarket or family mart around the corner), housemaids work diligently to keep the place clean, breakfast included (limited choice and very basic). The best thing about the place are the peoplewho work here, feom the bell boy to reception etc
It is very convenient as all reviewers note...it is opposite to Thailand's largest franchised Mall. Teeming with both people and shopping choices offering great sales periodically theoughout the year.

Booked 7 days here for my stay, 1300Thb/night incl. Bfast seems like a giveaway, i chose this due to its location , almost just opposite The Mall in Korat, which is only 10 mins walking from hotel, however this hotel seems not to be used as tourist hotel, rooms are quite big and bathroom big too , however in bathroom the tiles showed mould in the bathcabin area and watersupply is done by attached agregate and waterheater in bathroom, as such waterpressure is almost non-existent and water sometimes extremely hot, hotelroom lacks water boiler and coffee and tea ameneties , no in room safetybox! Aircondition is centralized with thermostat in room and was extremely hot despite placed on 19c all the time..included bfast buffet is very simple with european style fried eggs and chicken saussges and ham in water, some fruit, local thai dishes and cold water and pre-fab orange juice, also coffee(good brewed) and tea, staff very friendly and helpsome, they have in room dining service which must be payed on delivery! Restaurant for dinner is however not on my top ten best restaurants!
But all in all an affordable cheap hotel in close proximity to the mall and korat city

Have stayed here several times now. Good sized rooms, always clean & friendly and in a central location, easy parking & close to the shopping mall. About 1300 Baht for a double room with breakfast (Thai style). We forgot our tooth brushes one trip on the way back from BKK - too tired to go out again so the staff went out and bought them and some toothpaste for us. Just the cost of the items - that's good service.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times whilst in Nakhonratchasima (Korat). It is not fancy, no Hilton or Sheraton but is a great little hotel. It is clean, got the basics right and in a great location opposite the biggest Mall in Thailand.

The nicest thing in my opinion is the staff, beginning with the parking attendant/guard, house maids and reception. Smiles welcome you and they go out of their way to help if needed.

Room comes with a morning breakfast which doesnt change that much and is quite basic and slanted towards Thais (understandly given the fact that the hotel is on the main highway and most guests are over-nighters headed further up north or here for business etc). Cost of room is reasonable, fantastic air-con, very good wi-fi which is free, there is a restaurant downstairs which quite and resonable. Actually, if you feel like singing, they have a small karaoke stage up front.

The rooms are showing their age slightly but the rooms are clean and the maids take care and pride in their work.

In Korat for a visit, then this hotel is worth a go. I know l will. Besides being so close to the Mall, it makes a trip back to your room loaded with the fantastic fresh fruit, local delicacies such as mor gang etc (e.g. From the fab supermarket and food court) easy.

With the many sales within the Mall itself, shopping is a breeze and the credit cards can take a beating.
