The hotel is located slightly back from the main road, so it is quiet. That also makes it very hard to find intially because it is not obvious from the main road. The building looks very new relative to other around it. The massive signboard is in Thai and the english signboard is a tiny one obscured by a tree and electrical cables.
Counter service is friendly and rooms are clean. There is wifi, albeit weak. There is cable tv with many channels on tv. I slept very well. Breakfast is basic.
During the time of my visit, this hotel only had a very simple one page website in Thai language with one contact number. There is no online booking and neither Tripadvisor or any online hotel booking agencies can give me an idea of the room rates. So I drove there and walked in. Low season rates now are 1300 baht a night including breakfast. Cheaper and newer than Dusit Princess, and with a better location.
Near The Mall Nakhon Ratchasima.
Been here on several occasions and never been disappointed or cheated.
Reception staff are really helpful and althoug no saftey boxes in rooms, there are at reception.
Hotel is only 3 years young and everything was working well.
Breakfast foods are jsut OK ( not exciting ) but clean and staff hekpful.
The Mall is only across the main road and it was easy to find a Tuk Tuk or Taxi around the hotel area.
The train station was only a 10 minute walk away too.
It has got all the basics: excellent air-con, multi channel t.v., wifi, bar fridge (two waters supplied but anything else you need...just stock up across the road at the Mall Supermarket or family mart around the corner), housemaids work diligently to keep the place clean, breakfast included (limited choice and very basic). The best thing about the place are the peoplewho work here, feom the bell boy to reception etc
It is very convenient as all reviewers note...it is opposite to Thailand's largest franchised Mall. Teeming with both people and shopping choices offering great sales periodically theoughout the year.
But all in all an affordable cheap hotel in close proximity to the mall and korat city
The nicest thing in my opinion is the staff, beginning with the parking attendant/guard, house maids and reception. Smiles welcome you and they go out of their way to help if needed.
Room comes with a morning breakfast which doesnt change that much and is quite basic and slanted towards Thais (understandly given the fact that the hotel is on the main highway and most guests are over-nighters headed further up north or here for business etc). Cost of room is reasonable, fantastic air-con, very good wi-fi which is free, there is a restaurant downstairs which quite and resonable. Actually, if you feel like singing, they have a small karaoke stage up front.
The rooms are showing their age slightly but the rooms are clean and the maids take care and pride in their work.
In Korat for a visit, then this hotel is worth a go. I know l will. Besides being so close to the Mall, it makes a trip back to your room loaded with the fantastic fresh fruit, local delicacies such as mor gang etc (e.g. From the fab supermarket and food court) easy.
With the many sales within the Mall itself, shopping is a breeze and the credit cards can take a beating.
