I was invited for a wedding ceremony in Pak Chong and stayed at Santosha for just one night. The owner/manager was waiting and welcomed me even I have arrived late night from Bangkok.
The rooms are spacious and neat with comfortable bed, high ceilings and a balcony. Nice walk-in bath with rainshower. All the furnishing high quality.
Nice salt water pool.
We got served the great full American breakfast even earlier than their kitchen used to open due to our special schedule for the wedding ceremony.
The resort is far enough from the town that who needs perfect peaceful and quiet environment won't be disappointed.
I was even offered a ride to the minivans. Fantastic service! I will definitely go back to Pak Chong to explore the famous nearby Khao Yai national park and to spend a weekend at Santosha resort.
P.s. There are some peacocks hanging around in the garden. It's always good to see these beautiful birds. :)

Santosha is a sanskrit word for the philosophy of contentment and this resort perfectly embodies that sentiment. Set at the summit of one of Khao Yai's foothills, Santosha is both serenely silent and modernly comfortable.
The rooms are spacious and clean, each with their own deck overlooking the lush and verdant landscape and soft beds, western bathrooms and soft white lighting. The kitchen offers breakfast and dinner, and I don't mean continental fare. While the breakfasts are simple and the alcoholic offerings are sparse you will not be hungry if you choose to dine in and avoid the comparative bustle of the nearby Pak Chong marketplace, even if you are an American like myself.
The one thing lacking is transportation, for which you'll have to make your own arrangements, but if you are the fit sort you can use one of the shared bicycles on offer. Just don't run over any peacocks!

Instead of a regular hotel or villa , we choose Santosha for our 1st visit to Khao Yai area . Simple healthy breakfast with organic veg and home made bread /milk is something worth waking up for. I would recommend to try their dinner menu if you can. Though their dinner close at 7pm but the staffs go an extra mile to stay and serve our dinner later specially for us as we arrive Pak Chong after 7pm . Special thanks to Ms Mew and the staffs of Santosha for their great hospitality, making sure our needs are fulfilled . We have a great time staying at Santosha .

I came to know about this place through my yoga teacher and was here with her and group of yogis for a 5-day yoga retreat.
I like the homely feeling that this resort gives. it is not big but with plenty of corners to chill out. The owner Mew, also a yoga teacher is friendly and speaks good english.
The room that i stayed is spacious and well maintained. My room faces the fields and it is pleasant to chill out at the balcony in the early mornings, enjoying the morning serenity and nature.
My yoga retreat includes 2 main meals - brunch and dinner, afternoon snack and refreshment after morning yoga. The food is well prepared and delicious.
Would i come again if i have no retreat? Definitely...

"This resort is very lovely... it's as if it has a heart and soul.. very sincere, genuine and heart warming" this is how my husband put it and i cannot agree more.
It's a family run boutique resort but is very well managed.
Room is very new, clean and very spacious and well equipped with all amenities that you need - we stayed there in December - the weather is very cold, but the blanket is warm enough with hot water in bathroom. (most rooms are on the second floor - no elevator)
Overall decoration - just love it. Not too much, not too few and it just gives you a feeling of real relaxation & peace-of-mind.
Surrounding - in a very nice, peaceful natural setting. There are walk way & bike route around the resort (bikes are provided - free of charge)
A free yoga class is provided at 7.30 am - am not sure if it's daily or not, but we joinned it on Sunday morning which is a very good way to start your new day. Breakfast is delicious.
Strongly recommend.

Stayed over songkran with my wife and 6 month old baby ad really enjoyed the stay.
Especially the Homemade yoghurt, bread & healthy shake at breakfast are welcome touches on the stay and its well maintained.

They take complete care and consideration fir your stay here and are very conscious of your enjoyment and relaxation. It is set in beautiful surroundings so make the most of them. Free range chickens, goats and even deer are present in the land and the homemade bread is delicious! Breakfast is simple and effective and worth getting up for. I appreciate their thought as to plastic waste and gave provided refillable shampoo etc as well as separate soap bars as some people still prefer to use and waste these. Although my shower didn't work, they were attentive and luckily had a spare room for me, which are all large,light and spacious. It is far from the main road and so your own transport is preferred,otherwise they can give you a lift for around 200-250 each way. Thankyou and enjoy. 😀😃🌈

Every year I run the Northface 100 in Thailand and this is the perfect place to stay, yoga in the morning, a tranquil environment to relax in, great massage and an easy ride to the race. One of many highlights is the delicious food, I am vegetarian and was very well catered for, and for those who like other preferences there was certainly a very wide selection. It is probably a 20 minute drive to the race and Mew will help with transport to and from. Every year no matter when I finished the Santosha team were there waiting for me which after a long run is so great. Also a great place for a weekend trip from Bangkok.

Our 3 day relaxed weekend at santosha was one of the best detox options in Thailand. The owner and host , mew, is a gem of a host, knowledgeable and attentive to all our needs. Is a beautiful property surrounded by lush greens with options to go for full detox package or even a normal stay with daily yoga and healthy organic food which is also truly a great way to detox. The food is extremely fresh and healthy. After a few days in santosha one would really want to adopt healthy eating . would highly recommend this retreat for those who really want to detox and unwind far from pollution and distractions.
