I had high expectations of this franchise as they have over twenty hotels in Thailand alone and I was attracted by the reasonable prices. However, my conclusion is that it is very suitable as transit accommodation but that I would not use it again as a base for visiting Khorat. It is conveniently situated for access from the main north-east road route but a considerable distance from the city centre, so if you have a car, you are OK. The room I got was clean but very functional with no storage facilities for belongings, just a small hanging rack for shirts, etc. and there was a fridge but no safe. A side door led to a tiny balcony, half of which was occupied by the AirCon unit, and the wall-mounted ashtray still contained the debris from a previous guest. The Wi-Fi was barely adequate, which meant I usually had to go down to the lobby to do email and so on. The lobby/reception area contained the only source of refreshment – a small supply of noodle type snack packs and a microwave, plus a coffee machine that, inexplicably, was only switched on in the morning. The reception staff were evidently used to handling transit visitors and were not really interested in the needs of guests who were staying for several days. For example, I went down to reception to ask if they had a laundry service but was told ‘no’ and pointed vaguely in the direction of the main road. I trekked about half a Km. with my bag of dhobi before I found a laundry shop. So, in conclusion, if you are staying more than one night, decent value for money but don’t expect any frills.

we stopped at this hotel on our way to Bangkok to rest for a night. The hotel is close to highway, easy access and good parking. The rooms are smart and have sufficient things for a short stay. however the room had weird smell specially in mattress and pillow I couldn't sleep, seems that they were not washed properly.

This chain offers clean, basic hotel rooms with all the basics for 600 baht per night, a third what you'd expect to pay to be assured of a clean, consistent hotel stay in this area. My wife is really touchy about using a modern, clean bathroom and although the rooms are a bit basic (not extensively decorated) all the aspects are completely new and modern. Security is good, rooms are good sized, the beds are nice, bathrooms modern and clean, with in-room refrigerators, free wifi, free coffee in the morning, etc. The trade-offs: no restaurant, essentially no additional services, very basic cable TV package, no in-room safe.

Unless you're Thai or Thai-speaking, WITH a car, don't stay here. The location is poor, the staff speak no English and they would rather be anywhere but work.
The pictures on the website make the hotel look nice, clean and new. That's not what we got. The building and furnishings are cheap.
I won't stay at another Hop Inn, and I'm considering moving to another hotel, even though I've paid for three nights.
I don't know what the people who gave this property 4 and 5 stars are accustomed to, but if you expect good quality service, location, and accommodations, don't believe what they write.
I've given the property one star because I couldn't give less than that.
