The hallway was carpeted but not airconditioned. The lift in this two year old hotel was efficient and clean.
The room was rather spartan. Bed quality and linen was excellent. For the first hour there was muted noise from the karaoke bar and probable massage parlour called Osaka next door.
The blackout curtains were great as was the aircon. The bedroom had an open wardrobe with one hangar only. There were two free glass bottles of Singha drinking water but only two sachets of coffee. No tea, milk or sugar.
Lighting was three downlights accessed from above the desk. I did not use the TV. The bedside table had a weak lamp, insufficient for reading.
The room had a wooden floor. It lacked any prints or other domestic touches so could do with some softening.
The bathroom was very small. When using the toilet, the door, if left open, was practically at one's knees. There were soap and shampoo dispensers in the good shower but no bar at the vanity basin. Lighting could have been better.
Breakfast was very good with watermelon, cantaloupe and pineapple. As is sadly the case too iften in both Philippines and Thailand, no mango or banana was available but four hot dishes were. There was cereal but no yoghurt. Hot tea and coffee were on display. The sole fruit juice, orange, was poor quality powdered.
There were also rice cookers.
WiFi was mostly fast. There was an even faster downloading Internet cafe across the road for THB15 per hour full of teenage boys at 2200 hours playing the usual video games and shiuting to each other.
Overall an excellent hotel but perhaps ask for rooms on the non karaoke bar side.
A tuk-tuk to the railway station was THB50.
It’s a business hotel in that it does not have any amenities other than its restaurant... but as a value for money proposition, the Leosor should be on your list for consideration when staying in Nakhon Ratchasima.
I just hope they can keep the standards this high and keep the attention to detail they currently have. We will be back!
Oh and breakfast was good with decent coffee
Breakfast is basic and average taste.
The lobby area is beautiful, but the room was disappointing. The first word that came to mind when I saw the room was SPARTAN. No closet (just a bare metal rod with 4 plastic hangers), no dresser, no comfortable chair to relax in. Just a desk chair and a bed. No extra pillows. No bathtub (but the stall shower was clean and roomy.) Here’s the good and bad:
GOOD:
Breakfast was very good.
Room service was prompt and food was good
There is a handy 7-Eleven across the street.
The AC worked well.
Mini-fridge and hot pot
Staff were friendly
BAD:
Internet was TERRIBLE. Very slow, and it kept cutting off. I probably had to sign on 10 times a day.
Bedside lamps were so dim you could not read in bed.
THE ODD:
There was no soap provided at the bathroom sink. If you wanted to wash your hands, you had to go into the shower stall and get soap from the wall dispenser. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels all over the world, and this is the first I can remember that didn’t provide soap at the bathroom sink.
I was going to give this an average rating because of the issues mentioned, but reading the other reviews I realized this is probably the best in town, and we did have a pleasant stay.
The hotel is very near the City center and 7 eleven.
The Staff was polite and helpful.
The wifi wasn’t good at the rooms, but it was perfect in the living room.
We will repeat again.
The breakfast also was perfect and delicious.
Pros
- large parking space
- real downtown location
- 7-11 just across from the hotel
- clean room
- good breakfast buffet
- big room (not very large but not small either)
- A/C was great
- The staffs was very helpful
Cons
- No conditioner and no soap bar for hand wash
- free 2 bottles of water are NOT in the refrigerator, make sure which one to drink
- make sure the hair dryer works, the one we had in the room was broken
- thin wall, you can here everytime rooms nearby close the doors or was talking slightly loud
Personally, we would stey here again mostly because of the location and breakfast. The wall won't be a problem for us because we usually listen to podcast anyway.
