The Punakha Valley is beautiful. If you're looking for a quiet hotel off the beaten path, the Aman Punakha is the place to stay. It's a 20+ minute drive from Punakha on a small bumpy road and you must then cross a suspension bridge by foot. The hotel provides electric cart service from the bridge up the hill to the...

Amankora is set in a beautiful estate. Rooms are spacious (similar to the other Aman hotels in Bhutan) and beautiful and service is top notch. Interesting activities and spa are offered and very personalized.

One of the best stays in Bhutan after a 6-day tough camping. I really like here. It?s not like those branded chain hotels. It is really a different type with nature theme. - way too expensive - quite a distance to city center + near forest + spacious rooms that were well designed + Incredibly spa after a 6-day tough...

Punakha is our second Amankora lodge, as you probably realize if you have been checking out the Amankora reviews that their rooms are very similar. All have very high celling ,and low light at night. They have to conserve their electricity. Anyway you look at it, it is still one of the cleanest, and best service hotel. If you need...

The attentiveness of the staff and the great food and evening entertainment was a high point of our stay in Bhutan. Both the lodge managers went out of their way to take care of all our needs and the chef took care to meet our dietary preferences. And the location is great. The only thing to be aware is that...

The site in the nature is amazing, giving a peaceful sensation helped by the design of the hotel and of the room. Nothing to say about the service, one of the best experience we had in Bhutan so far. Same for the food.

property location is great; just close enough to the river to hear it clearly at night and reached by a swaying footbridge- very romantic! Staff was excellent as was the food delivered by the fine Malaysian chef. Our second floor room was very spacious but contained minimal furniture which is in line with the Aman style but this was really...

Being in the Punakha Valley is a wonderful respite, especially when coming from Gangtey. Punakha has the lowest altitude of the bunch, and is also the warmest locale as a result. While it's not quite as scenic as Amankora Gangtey, the setting is magical in its own right. Getting to the property requires crossing a suspension bridge across the Mo...

We stayed in 2 Aman properties (other what Thimphu) whilst in Bhutan and this was our favorite! Reason being is the magical location of this property. You get dropped off at a bridge and a buggy takes you thru the forest to the farmhouse. What an entrance!! And then when you get there you are perched on top of a...

Amankora is sensational! The service is divine, the lodges/amenities are excellent, the food is fabulous with a great selection of local and international cuisine which makes the whole package perfect for a trip to this amazing country. Amankora guides were so knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure we saw the best of Bhutan in line with how we...

Combining aman, the Sanskrit-derived word for 'peace', and kora or 'circular pilgrimage' in Dzongkha, the Bhutanese language, Amankora, is a series of lodges in the Kingdom of Bhutan's central and western valleys. The sole surviving Himalayan Buddhist Kingdom, Bhutan is one of the most remote and pristine environments on earth.
