A charming inn with friendly staff! It feels like you are staying in grandma's house. Comfortable room with beauitful back yard to sit in. The inn is located right across from the Cumbers & Coltec train station so is easy to head for the train ride the next morning. When making reservation for the inn, the staff will give you...

We spent an enjoyable two evenings at this property. The motel is on Chama's main street, and directly across from the Cumbres and Toltec railroad. Friendly staff. Our room had a fireplace which we used both nights. Plenty of firewood for our use. No breakfast, but there is a restaurant a couple of doors down, and another across the street....

The stay was perfect, is was clean and charming. The beds were comfy and nice amenities to top off the stay and very helpful with being a late arrival. You are a few steps away from the Boxcar Cafe for a great breakfast & Fosters for a late dinner and drinks. Right across the street from the Cumbres & Toltec...

We went to Chama to photograph the rolling stock in the rail yard for our hobby of Garden Railroading. We needed more time than one day would allow and booked a room for the night in advance. Good thing we did as we forgot that it was time for the fall color changes of the aspens. We have been coming...

Using other reviews we booked upstairs room 5. We were more than happy...lots of room, quiet and with a kiva style fireplace. Nice amenities and a comfy bed topped off our stay. A few steps away from the Boxcar Cafe and a short stroll to the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad. Nice place and a great location.

Today As we approach our Home destination in Lewisburg, WV we reflect on our great trip to Chama New Mexico. 2 years ago we stayed 5 Nights in the Chama Station Inn and scheduled 8 nights this trip, then added 2 more after our arrival. It is like staying at your Aunt's home for a visit. The clean and beautifully...

Our stay at the Chama Station Inn was just perfect. Walking distance from the railroad and the various small shops in town. We have been staying here for years to enjoy the amazing firework show Chama has to offer every year. We have never been disappointed by the hotel or the staff. Everyone is always so helpful when needed and...

We were travelling on the Cumbres Toltec railway and wanted to stay nearby. We found this inn on-line. The website portrayed a quaint, old fashioned establishment which seemed appealing. When we checked in we were not told that the office would close at 6:30pm. We found our room, though quaint, had no air conditioning, no refrigerator, poor wifi and a...

Are you kidding me?! Located directly across the street from the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad. There's a whistle to wake you up in the morning and one to say goodnight. The sights, sounds and smells of the rail yard drift to you through the air from the monument. There are two different experiences can await you. There is the original...

The name certainly isn't misleading; one can sit in the lovely garden listening to the shunting noises from just across the road. I imagine that most people stay here to use the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad (which will be separately reviewed). The Inn is charming and quaint, but quaintness often brings with it creaking floorboards and plumbing noises, as was...
