Chama Station Inn is a gem in an out-of-the-way corner of New Mexico. The building is about 80 years old, but it is in pristine condition. The parking areas around the inn are dirt, but inside the compound is a meticulously groomed garden area perfect for morning coffee or afternoon refreshments. Reservations can only be made by phone or e-mail....

Very convenient location- on the only main street in Chama! It's about a 5 minute walk to the train station and all the shops in town. The room was good sized and pretty clean but it had a weird mothball smell to it. The biggest downfall of this place was the noise- it seemed like every time someone closed their...

Two nights here at the Station Inn and I'd consider it a good value with its location right across the street from the station. As other reviewers have stated, it's neat to hear the steam and whistle in the mornings and afternoons. The location between two of the good restaurants in town, the Boxcar Cafe and the Foster Hotel restaurant...

Stayed at Station Inn for two nights. What a great hotel! Apart from going to sleep to the sound of the steam engines on the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad for railway enthusiasts there was plenty of home from home comforts at this delightful hotel for railroad fan's partners. But it must be emphasised that the sounds of the railway do...

Nice rooms and decor in a pleasant wooden house with a peaceful garden to relax in and run by very friendly people. If you want to be close to the sights and sounds of the lovely steam locos of the incredible Cumbres & Toltec Railroad then this is the place to stay; it is also next door to the historic...

Have stayed there past 8 years for a week and would not stay anywhere else. Great location with all the comforts of home. No frills but comfortable and reasonable. Location is perfect for the sights and sounds of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad.

Great place to stay. central location. Clean and quaint rooms. being summer it was great to have somewhere to sit in the garden. i would strongly recommend. Across the road from the train museum so expect some noise. Nice cafe adjacent for lunch.

One of the nicest places we have stayed in a long time. We stayed in room 9, so yes, we heard the people upstairs as they walked around, but it didn't matter. Our room was very special, with lots of space, a fireplace, an outside sitting area with lots of beautiful green grass and flowers! The bar across the street...

The Inn is directly across from the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad yard so you can hear the locomotive being worked on and moving with steam and whistle sounds. It might be annoying, but that is part of this places charm. The rooms are comfortable with old style furniture and a small bathroom. We never heard any noise from anything else...

Now really, how many times do you have a room with a kiva fireplace? Room number 9 is downstairs and the folks upstairs are walking around a bit so we do hear them. Who cares? There is a bar across the street where I can get a few brews so I'll be out for the night. Just outside our door...
