This is an awesome little old school quaint motel on the outskirts of Clayton, NM. The rooms have been updated with quality beds and accommodations. Yet you still pay an exceptional price. Great place to stay on a long trip.

Don't be put off by the worn exterior; the rooms are clean and other travelers are pleasant if a little scruffy. It is certainly an older motel but there had been an effort to keep it updated. Nice little kitchen in room next to office. Quiet, off the beaten path. Highway patrol in area if you feel isolated.

My husband and I stopped here on our way to Denver and spent one night. It was very clean! The lady at the front was very nice, no complaints on our end. For $62 including tax, we feel our money was well spent for a quick place to sleep on a road trip!

Family of 6 and 2 dogs. I think for a motel this place is a good value. Seems like the issues people have had are related to bad experiences with the management, etc. But our experience was good. Paula was working, might be the owner, but she was very nice, got us extra blankets, gave us 2 connecting rooms and...

My husband called ahead to make sure they had a room and the guy said yes, 1 left, I will hold it for you. When we got there, I walked in the lobby at 10:30 and I could hear 2 people arguing. Lady crying saying she was putting a restraining order on the guy, him saying he will take everything...

Very dated motel with dated furniture but had large room. TV was medium old box style & not able to view from bed. Not enough plug outlets - a couple were on far side of the room. Bathroom very clean with good fluffy towels unlike some other cheap motels. Bed was a bit hard but ok. Disappointed with the 1...

Room was big and very clean. Mini fridge in room. Pets welcome & no smells! Door only locks w a chain but the lady has surveillance going. Limited rooms so we booked online while a couple states away. Great for a one night stop through on the road.

Old and very basic, but clean and roomy. Our bed was very firm, which we like. Quiet except for the trains, but you are going to get that anywhere in Clayton. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Park at your door. All rooms on ground level. Just right for an overnight stay on the road if you want to save money.

This motel does not have many rooms, but they are a decent size. It is definitely aging, looks old and tired, and is in need of updating, but that said it was clean. Walls are thin, so you do hear your neighbors. Lady working the little reception office was helpful. Wifi worked great. All in all, a good choice for...

We enjoyed our stay here. Great over night hotel if heading from Texas to Colorado. Rates are great and lady that owns the hotel was very nice. Nothing fancy, but will definitely stay there again if heading back to CO. Would be great for local hunters.
