Made it a point to stay in this historic hotel. I'm a history buff of the cowboy and buffalo hunter era. The hotel and restaurant look pretty much as they did in the late 1800's. The room I had was a bit dated, but still OK.

This hotel has three stories with an elevator. It is over 100 years old but seems fairly well maintained. Our room was clean, comfortable with a balcony. Staff was friendly. We could hear the trains very clearly from our room since the tracks are only about a block away.AC worked very well. Look over the hangings in the salon and...

I stayed at the Eklund on a road trip to Santa Fe. Expedia showed no rooms, but I called in from the road and was told one room was available. I gave the woman my debit number over the phone to reserve the room. When I arrived I was told the charge had been run. Nothing to sign, no proof...

Dear Guest: Thank you for staying at Hotel Eklund. I do apologize that your stay was less than satisfactory. It doesn't appear that you brought your room condition to the attention of our front desk at the time of your stay. We are always responsive to guest concerns. We loved the Hotel Ecklund! Very clean and charming. The staff were very relaxed and friendly. Our room opened to the main street balcony, which was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, and were very happy with our choices. Complimentary breakfast was homemade quiche, homemade oatmeal, and homemade cinnamon rolls....

A restaurant in a hotel and short staffed. They did not have a place to sign in when you arrived and some people tried to sit at empty tables before others who were waiting. Food was ok and drinks were generous. I would eat here again. So busy that we sat with another couple!

The rooms and bathrooms were a good size and had simple furnishings. However, there was a large section of our floor that creaked REALLY loudly. Also, you could hear everything from guests next door, above you, outside, or down the hallway. But that's the price you pay when you stay at an old hotel. Otherwise, the saloon and breakfast room...

We tried to cancel our reservation so we could drive a little further toward Colorado, but you can't cancel less than 24 hours. We were SOOO glad! Our stay at the Eklund was a delight! Enjoyed chatting with the staff and other travelers. We will stop here again!

We stopped here midway from our destination. Love the charming hotel and JoBeth was very nice and informative. The beds were comfortable and clean. I do wonder how they keep the white tile in the bathroom so bright?! Trains may keep you up if you are a light sleeper...I only heard them once, but hubby heard them several times. We...

This was our second stay at the Eklund. This visit we got into our room and the window would not shut so my husband crawled thru the window and pushed it closed and had our grandson lock it from inside, therefore he then had to climb down some type of sevice ladder outdoors to get down. Then we went down...
