We felt this was the best hotel in town. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. We had to stay in Clayton an additional night when the road to Denver was closed due to a snow storm. The front desk made the changes needed to allow us...

I am usually leary of Best Westerns especially without the Premier branding. This is the nicest BW I have ever stayed in. Recently remodeled, nicely decorated and very clean. Front desk and breakfast folks very nice and welcoming. As others stated they have a very good breakfast- loved the burrito fixings and decent coffee. Their eggs have whole milk and...

The road was closed between Clayton and Raton so we were stuck. If you had to be stuck, this place was the best. We had a wonderful room, easy access for my elderly parents and very friendly, and helpful staff. I would stay again in a hearbeat.

Comfortable stay at this hotel. We were able to check in early due to a snow storm that closed the roads. The staff went out of their way to get stranded travelers checked in as early as possible. The breakfast is outstanding. The variety is huge, and the eggs are actually cooked on site in a skillet! The fixings for...

We were there for one night when running the Dust Bowl Series. The hotel was clean and comfortable. They did not put out an early breakfast for the runners like some of the other hotels we stayed in did. But under normal circumstances it would be a fine place to stay for a night or two.

Although Clayton, N.M. is a drive through city on our way from Texas to Colorado, we spent the night here. It was a wonderful surprise! Cute, clean, friendly employees, comfortable bed and a breakfast that was better than normal for a place in this price range. Great green chili - have to try it over your eggs. It's definitely going...

They supposedly put me in the quietest room they had. Well I can understand the road noise but the train coming through 4 times throughout the night drove me crazy!! Did not sleep a wink. The door should be replaced with a steel door for sound proofing. Notified the front desk next morning, said they would advised manager about a...

We apologize about the noise. But we have very little recourse to further reduce the train noise. We already have insulated steel doors installed and we constructed the building with sound absorbing foam filled cinder block. That is also why there is no openings in the back wall and the window in front doesn’t open. While we probably should have...

We try to arrange trips so that we can stay here. Easy to find, parking lot is clean, it is well lighted on the outside, ice machine always works - appreciate that at the end of a day! Great rooms, fabulous service and an excellent breakfast!

This is a friendly, well- kept, clean motel in the northeast corner of New Mexico. We were very grateful to find it because there is a lot of wide-open space in this part of the state. All motel rooms have entrances to the outside. A delicious and interesting meal can be found about a half-mile away at the historic Eklund...

This Best Western offers a good and clean place to stay while traveling. I would say that while there is nothing special about the hotel, it is clean and it is safe. You can pull your car right up to the room since all entrances are outside. This also means that if you are on the second floor you will...
