My friend and I stayed here for two nights. We were upgraded to a suite on the first floor since the electricity in our original room was out due to renovation work going on. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We met the new owner,...More
We have been going to The Lodge for over 12 years. It is sadly apparent there are new owners. We had the Governors Suite. Basically a two room suite with a foyer. There was only one room heated in the entire suite, the bedroom. The...More

Not at all. The A/C is great and there are electrical outlets in more than one place in the room. It is an old hotel of course, built in 1899 but the plumbing and (thank God!) electrical systems are modern. We recharged our iPad, phones, etc. with no trouble beyond having to unplug a lamp on one occasion. By "old" expect quaint, not antiquated!

We stayed in a king room but it didn't have a view of much of anything except beautiful snow out the window. Really loved this place though. Lots of history and even a ghost. The room was adequate size too.
