We vacationed in Gallup for a week, staying at the El Rancho. We had a blast. The beds were comfortable and all the basic needs were met. We found the staff to be incredible and the restaraunt was delicious! My family and I love historic places, so we chose this hotel and stayed in the Marx suite. We were not...

We were seeking the Rt 66 experience and we got it but probably don't need to have it again after this stay. The room was small which isn't a big deal but the bathroom was so small it almost wasn't workable. Warm water took forever to come and we had to let it run for a long time as with...

Stopped for dinner at El Rancho while driving back to Albuquerque... it was well worth it! What a historic location, full of western charm. Service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was quite good. Plenty of choices for families. The hotel itself is a must see and we may stay here the next time we pass through Gallup....

We always enjoy staying here for the ambiance and historical value. Aside from being right on historic Route 66, there are pictures and stories of the many movie stars who stayed here especially in the 1940s and 50s. Great onsite restaurant and gif tshop. The lobby is amazing with all the artwork and rugs.

This place is steeped in the nostalgia of its glory days. Browse the balcony above the lobby to get a sense of its history. Signed photos of Who's who of 1950's Hollywood abound. The restaurant is very nice and has an ample selection. The rooms are clean, functional and well appointed, if a bit dated. WiFi works in the lobby...

The El Rancho is a classic Route 66 hotel that advertises "Charm of Yesterday - Convenience of Tomorrow." Charm? Absolutely! Walk around the beautiful two-story lobby and you can imagine Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman walking in after a day of filming. Say, is that Ida Lupino? Maybe it is! But while there is a lot of yesterday at El...

Wanted to return to the El Rancho once again for memories sake, but when my husband visited it he fell in love with it, so we now go there once every year. The atmosphere is really out standing. The lobby is beautiful and the gift shop unequaled. The people who work there are very helpful & friendly as so are...

We were on our way to Lubbock for a wedding and decided to break up our trip and stay here. Sharing the history with our youngest was fabulous. The lobby is amazing and we stayed in the Errol Flynn room. The beds were comfortable and the room spacious. Everything was very clean. The onsite restaurant has great service and good...

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the El Rancho Hotel recently; in fact, that was one of the primary reasons we visited Gallup NM. The Front Desk staff were great - so were the staff in the Gift Shop - very friendly and personable. Our room (Jackie Cooper #117) was clean, sufficiently roomy and the bed was comfy. The hotel is working...

We didn't actually stay at this property. We went in and walked around. It was really old but neat. I could see how it would have been a swanky place back in the day. Movie stars would come and stay here. There are pictures on the walls with a lot of them. It had a wonderful big front desk. There...
