I wanted to like the Hotel Mesilla more than I actually did. The good and bad reviews all make legitimate points about the place. If you want an alternative to the big corporate franchise hotels, it is not a bad choice. The Mason de Mesilla was originally designed and built by a retired insurance guy as a bed and breakfast.... My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Mesilla . We were apparently the only ones there , for sone to be obvious reasons. Rude unpleasant check-in . We had booked a queen veranda room, awful. It was right over the kitchen area and we could not even here the tiny tv over he noise till after ten. It was... More

This is going to be a little long but I feel compelled to write about my experience. My husband and I lived in Las Cruces for six years so when we decided to go visit for our anniversary I wanted to stay somewhere different than a regular hotel. I read some mixed reviews but decided to give it a shot... More

My husband and I had visited before and loved the place so we decided to go back a year later. Everything was fine until about one month later when I discovered that I had been charged an extra $270 for my stay, when I called to see what the charge was about the owner Cali said they were charges because... Decided to try something different and actually we are glad we did, for starters I think it was John if I remember his name correctly that showed us our room and around the hotel. The pool is nice, nothing fancy, the only thing is that it closes at night fall, but that's when the live music started with a pretty... More

I surprised my husband with a Valentine's get-away & booked a casita for two nights. I knew it was only a queen but we liked the privacy, but after checking out the tub, I noticed it was dirty, had numerous "size" hairs. When I went to front desk the lady ( not sure if she was the manager or owner)... More

So I read the comments and understand where many of you are coming from but in the end I believe the good far outweighs the bad. So the owner does not exude professionalism.... So what? Look at what you get at such a reasonable price. The rooms are great, the rest of the staff is wonderful and the food is tolerable.... More

We were disappointed that the B&B where we wanted to stay was closed. But as we were looking around, we saw this place and decided to try it. The only thing we didn't like was they took a picture of our credit card and driver's license, although apparently this did not cause a problem. We wandered around the property with... More

Where do I start. It when down hill as soon as I checked in. I asked John if I could have a 12:00 check the next day, he said it shouldn't be a problem but would have to ask "Cali" the owner. So went up to my room, hubby and changed clothes to go dinner at the restaurant in the... More

Hubby and I thought about staying the weekend. I didn't stay here, I was part of a parade in town. I wasn't feeling well and stopped by to see if there was a water fountain. They young man at the desk brought me a glass of water. The owner told him something and said griped to me about how the... More
