I'd been driving from Utah, it was dark, I was tired and ready to pull over and sleep in my car, when I saw a neon sign that said "stay here". I parked in front of the cafe that was already closed, but I could see people cleaning up inside and knocked on the door. A very nice, lady opened...

This is a little lodge in a remote town of NM, but we had a comfortable room and a great meal on our way to other places. Sure it's basic and limited in services, but you can't have unrealistic expectations in Quemado! I felt the rooms are safe and clean.

Made reservations at the Largo Motel during a recent roadtrip out to California. Unless you want to drive further west to Springerville or Eagar AZ there is almost no place to stay or eat from Socorro NM west on Highway 60. Except for the Largo. Room was inexpensive, quiet, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The AC/heating...

Quemado is no ones idea of a destination, but sometimes you're tired and you just have to get a room. Head to the Largo Motel. It looks pretty basic but it does have some advantages. - It's clean and quiet. The towels, bedding and room were really clean. - Nice, strong hot water flow in the shower. - There are...

There isn't much to choose from in this town and this is probably the best. It is clean and safe, with a good local cafe. It is busiest in late summer and fall when hunters stay. The walls are pretty thin so you can easily understand the guy next door talking in a normal voice on the phone. This was...

We stayed here for two night while checking out some astronomy sites nearby. It is a hotel caught in a time warp from the 60's. But the rooms are very clean and fresh and look recently remodeled. My only complaint is the soft mattresses which make it virtually impossible for two people to sleep in the same bed without constantly...

Hadn't been to the Largo in almost 10 years. The main draw is their giant green chile burgers, but I wasn't hungry enough for that. Decided to go with the Navajo taco. It was huge! Good service and clean. They take credit cards, not all places along the state line do.

If you're looking for a great green chile cheeseburger then look no more. Carl and Kathy have perfected the dish. If you're there for breakfast don't worry! The huevos ranchero is AWESOME. It's the only restaurant in town but they pump out some great food.

Nice, clean, reasonably priced motel and cafe in Quemado, New Mexico. This is along US 60 East on the way to Pie Town, Datil, the VLA (Very Large Array), Magdalena, and Socorro. It is a beautiful section of New Mexico with wide open spaces and fabulous vistas
