The whole experience from start to end was just superb. The Makubela lodges are the best ones to stay in because the Elephants come to visit everyday to drink from the private pool!!! Such a fabulous experience. Elephants of all sizes and ages. Saw every conceivable animal.....Leopard and 3 cubs. Lions. Zebra. Buffalo . Hippos. Zebra....... list is endless. Nothing...

Our four day safari at Idube FAR exceeded our expectations. From the minute we arrived (what a lovely welcome we had from Charita) everyone we met who worked at Idube seemed to care that we had a good time and experienced all that the African Bush had to offer. The rooms are airy, spacious and very clean - they also...

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special by all of the staff. Our Ranger, Promise and Tracker, Lornet were fantastic getting us close to the animals, including several leopards, elephants, giraffe, hyenas, water buffalo, leopard tortoise and not forgetting the lions, don't drop your hat out of the vehicle, the lions have so much fun with...

Fantastic experience, from the adorable monkeys stealing everything in sight (lock your doors), to the outdoor showers (the monkeys are always watching). Mike and Hollywood led us on some excellent game drives/walks (if management reads this, give them a raise). Saw the Big 5 in the first hour, and it kept getting better from there. Food was excellent, with well...

This is an excellent place to see wildlife up (really) close. Great for leopards, lions, elephants, you name it, even animals I hadn't heard of like a Pangolin one night. The lodge itself was very comfortable with a great food and drinks selection, air-con units, an outdoor pool and plenty of spots to relax in the middle of the day...

We stayed three nights in the lovely Makubela suites: beautiful rooms, with en suite bathrooms, outdoor showers and our own decking areas with plunge pools, which doubled up as occasional elephants' watering holes! It was an incredible experience to be able to spend the day between drives, sat on the decking, watching a herd of elephants grazing nearby, and then...

Although my idea of a safari doesn't include air conditioning and hair dryers, I may have to revisit that decision! Our last stop before a mobile camping safari in Botswana, I decided a little comfort would be acceptable and Idube met the criteria. Did I say we were spoiled?! Idube is a little larger than we we are used to...

I came to South Africa for a solo safari vacation. I had no clue what to expect. I read reviews on this site and decided to follow others. I picked this camp with their Makubela suites. I stayed for three nights and was able to get 5 game drives out of it. While I was there I saw 4 out...

I just spent three days here. It was a truly amazing experience! I was privileged enough to see 7 leopards as well as a host of other animals. I had stayed in Kruger twice previously and this was the best lodge I have encountered. I booked this trip last minute - I was escaping a bad guided tour in Botswana....
