We live in the desert and wanted to get away for a few days where it was cooler. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. We especially liked having two chairs outside our door near the hummingbird feeder. We loved having coffee on the deck watching the birds (and deer).

My husband and I made this trip with our Bro& Sis-In -Law. We had reservations for 4 nights. After 3 nights we decided that we would cut our trip short. We were assured that this would be no problem and our credit cards would be reimbursed for the 4th night. We left at 4AM. Later- after we got back home we found...

We are sorry that you misunderstood our policies and what you were told. During the summer months we have certain minimums and just as you can expect your room to be clean, maintained and available as requested we expect you to live up to your end of the bargain. When you book four days then on day three want to...

Had one of their cabins and it was cozy and comfortable for two people. It was quiet and this year many deers visited us throughout our stay. Cabin has a small and adequate kitchen as they do not serve breakfast.

If you like quiet, quaint, cleanliness, accommodating, amenities, reasonable price point and close to most shops and restaurants, this is the place for you. This was our 19th year in a row to stay at Shadow Mountain Lodge. This year we had 22 people in our group. Each year confirms why to continue to visit this special place.

Great place to stay-adults only but well worth it. Kitchen area if want to cook, front porch to sit on and watch the hummingbirds. Beds were hard at one time but they have added mattress tops and so much better.

My wife and I wanted to kick back in cooler weather and we chose to stay a few days at the Shadow Mountain Lodge and Cabins in Ruidoso. This place is awesome! The grounds were very well kept and the room was amazing. We stayed in lodge room 103. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in....

the two things we loved the most about your place were the exceptionally comfortable bed and bedding and the free wifi that worked like a charm... we also noticed how well the grounds and the lovely flowers are taken car of, and the hummingbird feeders are a nice touch... we stayed only one night on our way from Las Cruces...

Lovely spot and very clean and well kept. We stayed in a cabin and it was worth the extra price. The managers were very attentive and you could tell they cared about their job. This location is very nice and not on the main drag.

My husband and I were able to get away for a few days into the cool mountains of Ruidoso and found Shadow Mountain Lodge on Trip Advisor. Our three-day stay was lovely in this comfortable and quiet lodge. Located in the "upper canyon" it is sufficiently off the beaten path to be quiet and tree-shaded while still being easily accessible...

Thanks for the wonderful review. You captured everything we strive for and our managers work hard to maintain the standard of excellence that we are known for. We apologize for the slow internet. We actually have several commercial grade routers professionally installed with enough capacity for every room to stream movies at the same time. The problem is that our...

We were very pleased with our large room. Quiet with peaceful seating on porch outside our room. Lots of hummingbirds and other birds too! The staff is attentive and friendly. The kitchenette was well appointed and most welcome. We will be back!
