We stayed at Tremisana Lodge and at the Treehouses in Marc's camp booked through Viva Safaris and our experience at both places is exactly the same. First of all, the game drives and the rangers are really great. But forget about the rest, it is really accommodation on the level of a school trip staying at a hostel. Shabby rooms,...

Hi We were extremely disappointed to receive such a harsh and vitriolic review ! The fact that this is your very first review on TripAdvisor does not detract from the seriousness of your allegations. On the positive side, we thank you for your complimentary remarks about our guides and safaris. I am sorry that you found the accommodation so poor....

Back again! This time to introduce my dad to the Kruger and what a wonderful experience. Helpful friendly staff, well informed guides on walks and drives. We were fortunate to get some great sightings.. the 'big five' in the Kruger; a Leopard on an afternoon drive by Oliphant river, civets and a porcupine at night. Wonderful memories again.

Hi Helen Thanks for a third and excellent review ! We are pleased that you enjoyed your third visit with us and that your Dad could join you this time. You seem to have great luck - I recall on your last safari you saw lions killing a waterbuck - and to see the Big Five, a leopard on the...

Our stay in Termisana was perfect. The room was confortable enough, small beds but I'm quite small myself so it would just be perfect for me. Water of the shower was a bit cold though!! The pool was the best place to relax while not being on game drives, even if the water was frozen for the time of year......

Hi Giulietta thanks for a lovely review. It is good to see you rated your satay at Tremisana Game Lodge as "perfect" ! We are pleased that you liked the accommodation. We agree that the sunny pool area is the best place to be in the cold winter. We are glad that you enjoyed the stars during the Bush Braai....

We spent only one night here but it was a really lovely experience. Having arrived late due to traffic problems, we were taken immediately on a game drive. Worried that we may have missed out, we were surprised that the staff were willing to take us so late. We were then spoilt with a delicious brai for dinner - some...

LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! Our family of four just completed a 3 night safari with the 1st night at Tremisana Game Lodge and the next 2 nights at Marc's Treehouse Lodge. We enjoyed a sunset game drive in a open-air safari vehicle with a delicious Bush Braai (BBQ) on our 1st night. The next day we had a...

This was an awesome experience. The people were friendly, accommodating and very experienced in the needs of the guests. Kruger is a 'once in a lifetime' experience and the Lodge was a wonderful place to experience everything on offer. The range of safaris was great..... sunrise, morning walk, afternoon and sunset were all different, exciting and the range of animals...

My family of 4 with 2 teenagers embarked on our lifetime adventure in Africa with a 4 day stay a Tremisana lodge. We were blown away by the guest house, and sat for a long time on arrival on the porch enjoying the monkeys. From the night drive and a big boma dinner under the stars, to the walking safari...

Went for the 3 night deal and had a blast. The crew is top notch, also met plenty of interesting people. The safari variety was incredible: sunrise runs, sunset drives, Bush walk, Kruger Park drive and private reserve drives. Saw plenty of animals and learned a lot from the guides. Would go back anytime!

The area was great with game viewing from the breakfast area. The rooms were nice and clean. Staff members were great and couldn't do enough to help. The location of the lodge was the best part for me, being in the Balule private reserve gave such a good safari experience. Would recommend to all

Hi Richard Thank you for finding time to write a great review. We are pleased that you rated your safari "incredible". Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tremisana Game Lodge was a founder member of the Balule Game Reserve. Tremisana is the largest and leading lodge in this section, having a total of 12 chalets plus a two-bedroomed guesthouse. We can sleep a maximum of 35 guests. Every unit is en suite ( shower, toilet, basin ) and all units are air-conditioned.The lodge is serviced by two excellent boreholes. Its proximity to the tar road means Tremisana is easily accessible all year round, including the rainy season. The presence of lions, elephant and buffalo necessitates the maintaining of an electric fence around the camp. Perhaps the most striking feature of Tremisana Game Lodge is the beautiful gardens. The presence of numerous bougainvilleas and various palms and cycads gives the camp a subtropical feel. Water features add a soothing effect and the overall feel of Tremisana is very relaxing. At night, the subdued light from the illuminated paved walkways lend a romantic and magical flavour to this outstanding camp. ... more   less
