My husband and I traveled to South Africa for a friend's wedding and decided to make a full 2 week trip out of it, with the first 3 nights spent at Kapama River Lodge. We were picked up from the airport after a long journey by a very nice man who provided us with cool drinks that were much appreciated.... More

This was our 1st safari experience and Kapama River Lodge is magnificent! Everything from the pools/the main room in the lodge, the restaurants, the rooms and the twice daily safari's was 1st class. Staff was VERY helpful and quite good. The rooms (we stayed in a "spa room") was very large and comfortable. The only thing I didn't find SPECTACULAR... More

I stayed at the lodge for 3 lovely nights . My room had lovely decor and the housekeeping was spot on. There was an abundance of delicious food and a wide variety from buffalo wors, kudu pie, high tea. I visited the spa for a treatment, the beauty therapist Nomsa is friendly and i enjoyed my experience. The spa facilities... More

Kapama River Lodge was the highlight of my trip to South Africa. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and beautifully appointed. The food was excellent; wild game was always one of the choices. The spa overlooked a pond where wildlife came on a regular basis. My massage was heavenly with views of the pond wild... More

We stayed at this lodge for three nights and my guests really enjoyed this lodge. The spa rooms are well equipped in a wild setting that makes you feel part of the bush. My room was a standard room but very modern, clean and well equipped. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are well presented and a big variety to choose from.... More

From the moment we stepped off the plane we were greeted by our friendly ranger and tracker who took care of us throughout our stay. They were the ones who made our game drives incredibly memorable, fun and of course brought us to see the big five. We were there during the rainy season and there was quite a bit... More

This lodge is fantastic. From the moment you are picked up from the airport the adventure begins. Giraffes, warthogs,Impala all in the first five minutes. Once at the lodge the greeting is friendly and informative. The spa suite we stayed in was delightful, complete with a large bath overlooking the reserve. The meals were delicious and included a wide variety.... More

This property stay was at the beginning of our month-long adventure in Africa and it set the bar quite high. From the room/property, to the customer service, to the food, and of course, the game drives.....we were blown away. Our room was very nice - the view didn't look like much, but we saw animals almost daily from our bedroom... More

The place is beautiful, comforting and nice. The atmosphere is special. The bush was a wonderful experience, made perfect by the ranger. They explain you a lot of things about the animals you get to see, or about plants and lots of another things. You drive in dirt roads looking for footprint of the big 5 to track them. Once... More

Without any doubt one of the most beautiful hotels I've been around the world. Very pleasant and polite staff. Perfect service. Program to people seeking adventure. The hotel is very beautiful and is wallless, the rooms are of course closed (private) and from the balcony you can see already some wild animals around. The food quality is very very good... More
