We had a great time. the food was superb, really relaxing in the day and exciting walks and drives. We particularly liked the walks, learning about the plants and animals. The evening drives were spectacular seeing the sun set as the full moon rose. A highlight was a territorial dispute between male lions and the headlong chase through the bush...

It was by far the 2 most exciting days of our journey to the East of South Africa. Very skilled guides who made sure that on our very fisrt safari we saw rhinos and over 30 elephants. The staff also was very friendly, the accomodation excellent. The night in the treehouse was absolutly fabulous. Great team!

The absolute highlights were the walking safaris, where we tracked a couple of lions for over 1hour and finally spotted them in about 40m distance, without them realizing it. Thanks to Enoch, great job! We also had a very close encounter with a herd of over 30 Elephants at a waterhole, which was a really outstandig experience. The guides are...

It was 2 of the best days of my life. I saw the big 5 in the first 12 hours of arriving. The staff was down to earth kind and very knowledgeable about the wildlife. They really went out of their way to find the safest way to see the animals. It was so well done. Very professional. Food was awesome...

Definitely one of the highlights of all of my travels. The camp is open, no fences. Very comfortable and basic huts with outdoor showers. One evening the camp was occupied by a herd of elephants and we were trapped in our hut while they were feeding from a tree 2 meters from our door. So exiting and beautiful. Morning walking...

About a week ago I emailed about visiting Africa on Foot for three days next February. I received a prompt response from Anne-Marie who provided the availability information I requested. Immediately I emailed again requesting a specific reservation. I have now emailed five times (with increasing urgency) and have heard not a word. What an awful way to treat a...

Dear Tim, First of all, you have not stayed at the camp, therefore in my opinion should not be writing a review of the camp. Second of all, we have not received your emails. The last email we received from you was that you would be in touch. I quote: "Thanks, I'll be in touch asap." Since then we have...

From the moment we stepped in , the entire aura was place was stunning. We were awestruck by the warmth and hospitality bestowed on us, either the food or the rooms we adored and loved all. The walk and the safari with atmosphere of evening setting sun with glass of wine or sometimes with the hot chocolates and very nice...

Africa on Foot is all about a rustic, up-close taste of the African bush. Even so, additions like wi-fi, a curio shop, a bar, and a dip pool (frequented by thirsty elephants looking for a drink) provide a few welcome holiday touches. The camp is solar-powered, which is admirable. As such, rooms have just one electric socket, which is used...
