The treehouse concept is worth experiencing. It's a bit of an adjustment to sleep with the animal noises. Disappointing to be at a time of such drought but the elephants drinking out of the pool was amazing!

The tree house rooms were awesome and very original. We would have preferred a door on the toilet but apart from that, they were perfect. The guides were very funny and very knowledgeable and very good off road when after an animal, managing to manoeuvre the vehicle so that we could all get good photos. The did it all without...

Dont plan on a long peaceful sleep - the beds are comfy but the animal noises are so loud and close you spend the entire night wondering what it comes from - which is amazing. Staff are great and food Is nice also. The shower was a bit touchy from hot/cold but seems to be a trend in africa.

Staying at nThambo was very pleasant. The staff is very friendly and we enjoyed the gamedrives very much. We saw the big five, including a lot of elephants, hyena's. The food is very good en a special diet is no problem for the cook.

For those that do not want the big game lodge experience where you are a room number not a name then check this out! The accomodation is in 5 seperate stilted tree houses with full ammenities. Extremely comfortable with balcony, really comfortable beds with full mosquito netting. I am prone to mosquito bites but they provide repellant in all room...

We ended our honeymoon with 3 days at nThambo and we loved it. It's very homey and the small staff makes it very quaint. They prepared a special private dinner under the stars with champagne for us for our honeymoon. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable. We learned a lot from our guides there that we didn't get from the...

We loved our stay in Nthambo and highly recommend it to others who are looking for a smaller lodge with great personal service, casual attitude but with luxury service, and amazing wildlife. The rooms (individual treehouses) were great (the hot water bottles were a perfect surprise when we got into bed) with super comfortable beds with an intimate feel with...

Best trip I've ever taken!!! The staff at Nthambo was awesome! Lodging was incredible and unique! Completely surrounded by the bush without any fencing was a great experience. I'm definitely coming back!

Wonderful rooms, like a tent on stilts! Rustic luxury and close to nature! The most comfortable bed, and the hot water bottle at night was much appreciated :-) The staff were welcoming and friendly. Game viewing was fantastic. We had elephants around our room on our first night! I don't want to launch into a huge review and describe every...

This was our first safari experience, and immediately on arrival, we felt part of the family. From the home style meals to the cozy fire, we had a lovely time. Our tent was comfortable, and the hot water bottles contributed to a comfortable sleep. Our guide was very enthusiastic and our tracker took time to educate us on a variety...
