This was our first stop on our first visit to Africa, and it was incredible! We saw all the Big 5 (if you need a reminder: buffalo, rhino, elephant, leopard, lion) within 24 hours, as well as zebra, giraffe, hyena, warthogs, all kinds of deer and birds - and I could keep going. Our ranger was Grant, and our tracker...

The entire experience was unique.. From the time of landing in the small Cessna to the stay in some of the finest rooms, the exquisite safaris to the night time entertainment! Everything was beyond expectations.. I want to thank our guides for making our vacation a very memorable one..

THis is an interesting place to see wildlife. Because it is private land, the guides are very aggressive and the wildlife seems to be habituated to this behavior - surprising how close and fast the jeeps go. THis is very different from seeing wildlife in the big national parks in Zimbabwe and Botswana where the guides are very careful, drive...

We stayed at Thornybush Game Lodge as part of a travel package that did not break out cost, so were not aware of the pricing until we asked. When we asked the about the average nightly cost, it was very surprising that we were able to experience such luxury at that price: it covered the beautiful room (see detail below),...

The service was superb, the rooms spectacular and the hospitality was on a completely other level! I went with my father and we managed to have one of the best experiences ever! The lodge was a 5 star gorgeous and classy place to stay. On our game drives we saw the big 5 and had close encountered with animals you'd...

The rooms are very nice, clean, spacious and with a big terrace over the bush. The food is good and the staff is nice and kind. We had 5 unforgettable safari (4 by car and 1 by foot) with our ranger, Ross, during which we managed to see the famous "big five"!!

We were so wonderfully pleased by every aspect of our visit to the "Lodge" that we already want to return! The treatment we received by every staff member was so great. Our beautiful butler Grace, tracker July and guide Jeluka will forever stay with us. The promise of seeing the big five was kept and it was incredible. Thank you....

We hesitated a great deal about this stay as part of a three-week independent trip because of the cost and the possible dangers - you are in the bush ! It was one of the most magical experiences we have ever had. The dawn and dusk safaris in a personal jeep were stunning. They tracked elephants, lions, rhino and leopards....

Our driver/guide Ryno and our spotter Alson gave us an unforgettable 3 days at Thornybush. No two experiences will ever be the same, so no point in listing what we saw, but it would be a long list! What matters is the approach, the expertise, the surroundings and the outcome. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience and we...

We arrived for a weekend away over easter, 2015. I have read all the reviews on the lodge before arriving and was expecting something wonderful. My expectation were exceeded in every way. It is difficult to write a review that will do justice to the facility, the beauty , the staff and the over all experience. I will do do...
