My husband and I traveled to South Africa in January. The Monwana Game Lodge exceeded our expectations. Our ranger, Jacques was very knowledgeable. Everyone at the lodge (thank you Emma and Jeffery) were professional and pleasant. We loved the private porch from our room where we could sit and watch the wildlife at the watering hole. Breakfast, lunch and dinners...

We stayed at monwana game lodge for the first three days of our honey moon in South Africa and I must say that my Wife and I were extremely impressed by the standard of service and the quality of the food that we experienced there. On the three days we managed to view really up close the Big 5 and...

The best two days we spend in South Africa. The safari was first class. The tracker & game driver were both awesome. We got to spot the big 5. Leopard was our favorite. I loved looking at the smaller animals & birds too. Our game driver, Ruan, had in-depth knowledge about the animals and the reserve. The lodge was superb...

Had the best holiday of our lives. The staff were outstanding. Tracker and game driver were first class and went out their way to find as much game as possible Staff made our stay better with a romantic dinner. Allowing me to ask the lady of my dreams to be my wife. She said yes. Thanks guys.

Been back for 2 weeks after our Monwana safari but still on a high. Emma, Jacques and the entire team were so passionate about the reserve, the animals and making their guests feel welcome. Game drives were fantastic - thanks to ranger Jacques and the excellent trackers - and we were lucky enough to get close to all of the...

Fantastic, superb, wonderful, amazing! Our stay with Emma, Jacques and the team at Monwana really was an inspirational experience that left us struggling for enough superlatives to describe it. We arrived full of excitement and anticipation but trying to be realistic - we understood these wild animals can't simply be summoned to appear and we accepted that we wouldn't necessarily...

After several months of safari planning we decided we wanted to stay in a private game reserve outside of Krueger and that it had to be both small and luxurious. The Monwana Game Lodge at Thornybush Game Reserve met and exceeded our requirements. (Thanks trip advisor reviewers for steering us in the right direction!) Upon arrival our party of 2...

We stayed for three nights. It was a great experience! With four luxurious suites, we felt relaxed and pampered for the entire stay. With a game drive every morning and afternoon, and delicious food at every meal, it went well beyond our expectations. Thanks to Emma and Jacques for an amazing time.

Our stay at Monwana was part of a month-long trip in Africa. We stayed at a total of five different lodges in the various parks and Monwana was by far our favorite. I totally agree with the previous comments about the hospitality of Jaques and Emma. Jaques was a genius at finding interesting and unusual sites. He was also very...

All aspects of this lodge are excellent. From the first welcome as you arrive at the lodge -- several staff members out to greet you with "jungle drums" announcing your arrival. Meals were excellent +++. They have a gem of a cook and the dishes were imaginative and presented beautifully. This place accommodates only a max of 8 to 10...
