We went through a travel agent to book our trip and didn't do a lot of research or know much about where we were staying. We were very curious about what Monwana lodge was going to be like and even how the game drives would go. We were blown away. The entire property was beautiful. They were full so my...

Been remiss in writing this. Spent 4 nights, which was just the right amount of time, with my daughter in mid July in the Honeymoon Suite which was the only room available due to our late booking. Ranger was extremely knowledgeable. Tracker helped us see just which animals we were looking for on each trip out. Great food. Lovely accommodations.

I stayed two nights at Monwana as part of a safari package. I've always been partial to smaller lodges - this one is PERFECT! The personal service from the team was second to none. Ruan was an excellent guide; it seemed like he made it his personal mission every time we went out to find something exciting. Shelley was just...

What an experience in every way! South Africa and our warm-hearted and beautiful memories at Monwana will be a family favorite memory indeed! Jacque, Morris (ranger and tracker) and Emma (manager and more!) were a true delight, and the introduction to the South African bush they provided was amazing! We were spoiled!! We were so fortunate to share our game...

We had a wonderful 3 days here. The camp is managed by Emma and Jaques,he is the ranger for the drives. He was execellent, his knowledge of the bush , the animals and their behaviours could not be faulted.Good sense of humour and kind.Emma was front of house ,nothing was too much trouble, everything worked like clockwork. All rooms overlooked waterhole, super room, huge bathroom...

Since this was my first safari trip, I didn't know what to expect from the game lodges. My experience at Monwana was fantastic, the best of the three lodges where I stayed. Emma's welcoming presence started things off on the right foot. Jacques (our guide) and Morris (our tracker) form a great team. They are expert at locating hard-to-find animals...

We have visited South Africa three years for the purpose of photo safari. We stayed at three different lodges each year - so in total we've stayed at nine lodges. Monwana Game Lodge was the BEST of the nine. The rooms were beautiful and a perfect layout for families traveling together (it was my son, mom, and me). We had...

We loved the whole experience from the warm, friendly hospitality to the great food, especially as I am gluten free and the superb game viewing. A huge thank you to Jacques, Emma and staff at Monwana for making this such a memorable experience, we would love to return!

We spent 3 nights at Monwana and it was a wonderful experience. Jacques' passion and enthusiasm made the game drives exciting, he always gave the extra effort trying to find animals we were hoping to see. Loved his 'useless information' stories. It was amazing to see Morris the tracker point a pack of hidden leopards. The accommodations & food were...

Just returned from three nights stay at Thornybush. A fantastic experience, from arrival to departure. The accommodations and food are first class and our ranger and spotter did a terrific job in finding the animals for us. Would love to return again!
