I was not looking forward to this part of our itinerary as we are not keen on luxury lodges in the bush, they can be so at odds with the surroundings. This lodge is not "over the top" unlike the meeting place lodge at the Waterside , it is just a good quality at one with nature resort. The rooms...

Montana is a really amazing place Great staff and we saw virtually everything Considering the bush is not a zoo ! The accommodation pool and Rangers were better than great The only negative is that the kitchen pays absolutely no attention to dietary requests We had a diabetic lady in the group of eight and they served her the exact...

We had the joy of spending 4 nights in one of the suites with direct view to the water hole directly in front of Monwana. Watching giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs and even lions (night view) directly from there was already more than expected. The lodge itself is on the right level, luxury where it is necessary and appreciated. The chef prepares...

We spent four nights in one of the suites with a view of the watering hole. The suite was large, with good lighting, overhead fan, and AC which we never used. Amenities included robes, liquid and bar soaps, shampoos, lotion, tissues, insect spray, safe, blow dryer, tray with items for making tea or coffee, converters in three electrical outlets, five...

Monwana is an exceptional lodge in Thornybush and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safari. The highlight of our four night stay here is Jacques and his team who provide an exceptional experience to all guests and make each person feel part of the Monwana family. Jacques is an exceptionally knowledgeable ranger who shares his passion with...

Can’t recommend Monwana more highly. We stayed in the very tastefully furnished honeymoon suite, which was complete comfort. We took bubble baths while looking out the open windows at monkeys running past and Kyala feeding just next to us. Every time we came back form safari some little extra touch had been made to our room. The staff are lovely...

We had booked 3 nights at Monwana Lodge. This was not our first time in the Thorny Bush Estate, but it was our first time at Monwana Lodge. The location of the lodge is outstanding and the accommodation( we stayed in the Monwana Suite) was truly amazing. The housekeeping was great, the suite was kept to a very high standard...

Warm welcome, attentive service, excellent food, great kindness, beautiful rooms. We had only a two night stay, I wanted to stay for a week to enjoy the peace, comfort and nature. The entire staff did his best to make us feel good.

Just returned from a trip to South Africa where we introduced our two teenage granddaughters to the delights of safaris! Our first stop on this occasion was to Monwana Game Lodge and it could not have been a better choice or introduction. We were made very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and there were lots of little touches which...
