The people and service at Chapungu were terrific! Would recommend them to all my family and friends. The accomodations were beautiful, the food was amazing, and the game drives were awesome! Our stay exceeded our expectations by a mile.

Our first safari stop was at the Chapungu camp in the Thornybush area. The camp was rugged and comfort at the same time. The staff was amazing and very friendly and helpful. The food was always amazing, from breakfast, to lunch to dinner. The common area was tranquil and comfortable. We hardly saw the other guests, even when we did,...

We had a wonderful stay at this tented camp. The entire experience was great. We saw the big 5 and many other animals. Our tracker, Victor and our guide Henry were very knowledgable in identifying animals and their habits as well as local plants and history.

We stayed at Chapungu for three nights, going on five different safaris. We saw all of the big five within the first three safaris, along with giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, a porcupine, many different breeds of antelope. Our guide, Kilmon, and our tracker, Oscur, were amazing. The food at the camp was delicious and provided us with an introduction to a...

Stayed for 6 nights and cannot fault Chapungi in any way. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble for them - special mention to Kirsti who sorted out some travel issues we were having and Chris for looking after us so well. The room was excellent and the food was great. As for the game viewing -...

We had 3glorious days at chapunga and loved every minute. The morning and night drives gave us the opportunity to see the big 5 and more than once plus many more animals and birds. The balance of activities meant there was time for socialising, eating delicious and plentiful food and rest. The staff seemed focused on making our stay the...

Everything about the Chapungu Tented Bush Camp is top notch. I would recommend to all! Most importantly the guides and trackers were exceptional. All five of the “big five” spotted within the first 24 hours (white rhino not black). Ask for Eric and Oscar! It was apparent to me that this Guide / Tracker team was far and away the...

We spent 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon and couldn't have asked for more. About a 30 minute car ride from Hoedspruit this 'Tented Bush Camp' on Thornybush Game Reserve was truly magical. The accommodation itself was fantastic (see pictures below), and the food you were served for breakfast, lunch and dinner was always excellent. The balance of...

Fantastic experience. Saw the big 5 and lots more. The staff were fantastic and so friendly and welcoming. Luxury camp in middle of reserve- Woken up by lion roars in the middle of the night :) The only criticism would be the two single beds were pushed together to make a double and could be more comfortable but overall experience...

Amazing staff, made a birthday very special. Incredible tracker and ranger. MADE the game rides an adventure. Food very good, Charming accommodations but could use a bit of an update , especially with the addition of outlets in the bathroom.
