My husband and I stayed at Chapungu Lodge in October 2015 and were blown away! The peace and stillness of the bush was exactly what we needed after a very busy year. The staff are an absolute delight, the food hearty and the accommodation totally decadent. We also had a massage at the main lodge which was hands down one...

We came here as part of our honeymoon. We weren't expecting it to be quite as luxurious as it was, we were absolutely blown away. Starting with the accommodation: The room was lovely, and doesn't feel at all like being in a 'tent'! It's fully equipped with a mosquito net around the bed and insect repellent, good sized bathroom and...

What an absolute delight this "bush camp" was! Can't believe they refer to these as tents! Our tent has the largest bed (and beautiful linens) that I've ever slept in. Beautiful grounds and wonderful food! However, the facilities are nothing compared to the great service we experienced during our stay. Clearly we were there for the safari, which was spectacular....

We stayed at Chapungu for 3 days and had wonderful service and excellent game viewing from our expert Ranger and Tracker. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and delightfully complete luxury tent. You can tell that the staff loves their camp because of the attention to detail and care that they took in making our stay the best it could be....

We stayed for three days at the camp and we were so well cared for. The atmosphere is relaxed and all the staff are amazing. The food was delicious and plentiful. The safari drives were fantastic, with a very knowledgeable Ranger and Tracker. We saw so many different animals and were amazed at how close we were able to get...

Really enjoyed our time at this camp during our OAT Ultimate Africa pre-trip. Too bad this destination was not part of the main UA trip rather than Kafue, (which is remote and takes 2 exhausting days to go to and fro). Comfortable tents with full indoor bathrooms and an outside, private soaking tub! No wifi in tents, but available in...

We were actually at the Chapunga tented camp at Thorneybush with an OAT group (watch out for OAT; they waste a lot of time to save money). We saw the big five in three days - and that was a real treat. Our guide and our tracker were well trained and made the experience a good one. They go after...

We stayed for a couple of days and wished it was longer. We had an amazing experience there. The staff were excellent and always exceeded our expectations. We'd just had 4 days in Kruger however the game drives were so much better at getting up close to the animals without unduly disturbing them. The accommodation was very well laid out,...

We stayed here for 3 nights and went on safari every day. The guides were great, the support staff were all incredible, the food was delicious, and the overall experience was a 10! They wake you up at 5:30 for coffee & tea in the morning then take you out on safari for about 3 hours then you go back...

I recently hosted a wedding ceremony at Chapungu. The staff were absolutely amazing. They set up a beautiful area under a huge tree on the riverbed for the wedding ceremony. Whilst the ceremony was taking place 3 giraffe came to partake in the festivities. Wonderful experience for my overseas guests. Chapungu is a very comfortable lodge with amazing staff who...
