Kings Camp is what you would hope for in a more traditional African safari lodge experience--the warmth and ambience of being in Africa. Traditional but comfortable rooms with thatched roofs but all the modern amenities. It's not super luxurious, but that wasn't what we were looking for. Lots of game here and we saw the Big 5, plus, plus. But,...

My family had 3 lodges...all so elegant, but comfortable. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. The grounds were well manicured without losing the rustic characteristics of our location inTimbavati. The staff were amazing, tending to our every need, before we needed it. The food...so much of it! The chef, recognizing my kids might not like the...

We spent 5 nights which was a very good amount of time. The game drives could not have been more interesting and engaged. We were able to see all the big game multiple times in different setting and close up. The ranger/guide was always able to deliver well beyond expectations. The reserve itself is not very crowded so you didn't...

We just spent 5 nights at Kings Camp and everything there exceeded our wildest expectations. We had room 11, which is one of the honeymoon suites (though we didn't book this -- we maybe just got upgraded because they only appeared to be about half full?). The room was enormous and had both a huge tub, a huge indoor shower,...

We have just spent three wonderful nights at Kings Camp. Everything was amazing. The game drives were the highlight for us - we had never been on one before so it was very exciting to get so close to the animals. We saw the big 5 plus so many others. Our guide Dean and tracker Waldi did a fantastic job...

Kings camp was our first introduction to "bush life." However, it was not at all what I expected. Rather than tents with outdoor bathroom facilities, we were treated to luxury equaling any 5-star property anywhere! Our accommodations were perfect and because of the size of our group (24 in all), we got to stay in the Waterbuck private camp. What...

Kings camp is a lovely lodge. The rooms were nice and spacious. We stayed in the honeymoon suite with a pool. The room we stayed in was located at the end, number 11. My only complaint about the room, they offered a mini bar with assortment of drinks and snacks. They wanted to charge us extra for certain wines and...

All our expectations were fufilled in the most delightful way. Completely luxuriant with large, comfortable rooms and many relaxed communal areas, every detail is in place and nothing is spared to ensure a happy stay. Probably the most important ingredient is the Staff. Each one contributed to the welcome and to making sure we had the best safari experience ever....

My wife and I were here in 2010 with six friends. It was a special trip with unbelievable luxury and hospitality, accompanied by close-up experiences with all the Big Five and more. We don't repeat many prior vacations, because there are so many other places we haven't seen yet. But, memories of our first stay lingered and, when the opportunity...
