My wife and I went there as part of our Honeymoon trip in September, and it could not have been better. The constant view of animals at the waterhole, the excellent service and friendliness from the staff, the game drives were amazing, with so many animals sighted in the Madikwe reserve. We caanot wait to got back there soon!

The lodge, the staff, the food and wine and the animals were all superb. Especially the animals. The Rangers worked very hard (especially ours, Dylan) and all had great knowledge and passion which they shared with us. They managed to find the animals regularly and we saw Rhinos, Elephants, Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Giraffes, Water Buffalo, Wilderbeast, Kudu, Impala, Springbock, Zebra,...

We have just returned from a 4 night safari at Tau Game Lodge in Madikwe. Having been to Kruger national park before (and having loved it) I can firmly say that Madkiwe was far superior. The guides were more informative, the animals more plentiful and we got so close it was amazing. Every morning afternoon and evening we were treated...

I spent three nights here on a recent visit to South Africa and was impressed with the accommodations, service, guides - indeed the whole experience. This was my first safari in South Africa but not on the African continent, having been to multiple locations in East Africa. We were with a large party of friends (about 50 people) and the...

We were 4 adults and 1 toddler (19 months old) and we all had a blast. The service that was given to us was amazing. All the staff were very friendly and were very happy to take care and play with the small one. We left him with a babysitter while we were on game drives and he was well...

My friend and I (both conservation biologists) snuck away from an intense meeting in Johannesburg for 48 hours (two nights) of fantastic break at Tau. It was just wonderful, from start to finish. First up, when you look at the price, remember it includes 2 guided game drives a day, there (huge) meals a day, plus various other treats and...

My wife and I enjoyed three days and nights of outstanding service and value, deep in the reserve, with delicious fare, invariably friendly service, and above all the expertise of our ranger Michael Rae, who had an uncanny ability to find hidden lions and rhinos even after dark, and endless enthusiasm to explain the distinctive attributes and behavior of each...

Two game drives a day, all meals (beverages not included, but decent prices), wonderful location of the rooms, incredibly friendly people. Enjoy your delicious meals watching animals passing by, or drinking water from the pond nearby. An unforgettable experience!

This was my third time at Tau. I first went in 2003 , 2014 and now 2016. Each time the experience has been superb, the service outstanding and animals and views breathtaking. We saw all of the big 5 (the leopard was in the dark but I think we saw enough of it for it to count). This time my...
