Having heard about Motswiri for some time, we finally got to experience this little gem in Madikwe. From the moment we arrived we felt part of the Motswiri Family - our kids loved ever aspect of our stay: room, meals, game drives, staff, stories at night and of course hot chocolate by the fire. The rooms are very spacious, so...

We spent a week at the Motswiri Private Safari Lodge, being treated like royalty. We were greeted with cold drinks and warm facecloths after our 20 minute journey from the airstrip, then shown to our room. I say 'room', but each one is an individual thatched cottage, with its own deck. Some overlook the waterhole, but ours had a view...

Motswiri exceeded our high expectations on every level. Zede was a superb guide. Not only to find the game but also to answer our difficult questions and equally ready to talk about history with my brother. The chalet was splendidly equipped and beautifully looked after and we did look forward to arriving back at the end of the day to...

We have just been to Motswiri for my Mom's 70th birthday. We hired the whole lodge. The attention to detail and the staff accomodating our every need was incredible. The food was delicious and the staff so friendly, helpful and professional. We saw wonderful game and 4 out of the Big 5. The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and had...

The game drives were really excellent. As having only very experienced safari enthusiasts on-board our ranger Coenie wasted no time and found us amazing sightings. From the elusive leopard relaxing on a tree branch to a huge herd of buffaloes and elephants, rhino, brown hyena you name it... It was absolutely spectacular. The lodge is nice but we missed a...

This game lodge far exceeded our expectations with every part of the stay being of an exceptional standard. The approach from the main gate was along rough dust roads, but certainly of an acceptable standard and what one would expect out in the bush. On arrival at the reception area we were met with chilled towels and refreshing drinks and...

Geraldine was so nice and accommodating. Food was excellent. Room was outstanding. Not as much wildlife as we saw elsewhere but still plenty plus some interesting things! They even had a surprise Easter egg hunt for our children after the safari. Only wish was we could have spent more time but was a last minute add on. Highly recommend.

We couldn't have hoped for anything better! The villas were very warm and comfortable and we enjoyed the open air feeling. The food was wonderful-my kids ate (and liked) things I wouldn't have imagined them trying Ina million years! Our safari guide was very knowledgeable and we saw a wide variety of animals! Would definitely recommend Motswiri to anyone

We stayed for five nights in #3, the room closest to the lodge. This room has a great view of the watering hole. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was so warm. Not forced - just like we were already (happy) family. Two game drives a day yielded so many animal experiences: lions (with cubs), elephant families, two male...

Over the past 8 years or so I have visited quite a few Wildlife Reserves in South Africa. I have enjoyed them all, but always felt that I have experienced much of what they have to offer with a single visit. This is completely not the case with Madikwe. The variation in habitats is superb and I can see this...
