We visited Shayamoya with our 12 year old daughter and a sister and had the most fantastic stay. The spa treatment and Tiger fishing experience were some of our highlights but the welcoming and helpful hosts , the views, the lodge and our meals provided a very high baseline to start with. Highly recommended.

My husband and I arrived very late 8.30pm and were treated with such lovely warmth and hospitality by Bev and all the staff. They were more than happy to make us a delicious dinner (the best beetroot soup I have ever eaten). Our room was gorgeous a big four poster bed, lovely and private with views. Loved the outdoor shower...

Dear Simone Thank you for your review which is much appreciated. The beetroot soup is to die for! Originally introduced for a Valentine's dinner and everyone loved it so much it has stuck. We look forward to your next visit when you can take the time to really explore this amazing area. Regards Lindy

Dear Keith Thank you for your feedback which was expected. Bev and I chatted to the group of wives the day before your departure regarding the details of your stay, the men were out fishing, and they mentioned the lodge was lovely and we cleared any issues. We are a fully catered game lodge and do not provide self catering...

I left my heart in this lodge with the most wonderful view of the valley, the lake and the mountains. Everything was perfect. We had choosen that accomodation for its localisation , just 8 km from the Swazi border , but we will certainly come back to enjoy the place itself. We had a fantastic home braai for dinner, my...

An easy 4 and a bit hours drive from Gauteng means that we have this lovely wilderness with tiger fishing within easy reach. I am very glad that I booked the honeymoon suite as it is the only room with aircon and during mid summer you need it. On arrival there was nobody at reception and we waited a while...

Dear Christo Thank you for your feedback. I am delighted you enjoyed your time with us. Our apologies for the wait. I have enquired about radio systems - the connection into the valley at the gate poses to be a challenge so we are waiting for the solution at the moment. Regards Lindy

From arrival to end we had an awesome stay. Our guide Maxwell was very professional and patient, they had rods for hire but we had our own. We took our boys 11yrs and 15yrs on their first tiger fishing trip. The fish did bite but we only caught 3 tigers each . We went out on three morning trips up...

We booked via booking.com We thought we had a really great special. I phoned to make sure as although it showed one person it showed both our names and 2 adults. Happy we got a great once off special. After our weekend when paying we got a rude awakening. What is confusing on booking.com and we sort of understand is...
