We are on holiday in Namibia

It was our third stay at Saint du Barrys. Whenever we have to pass Clanwilliam we will stay at this lodge. It is on the way to Namaqualand, Richtersveld, Namibia, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park or just to the Cederberge

It was a pleasure to stay at our first B & B in South Africa. We were greeted with Joan's wonderful homemade iced tea and throughout our three days Wally and Joan were generous, welcoming hosts. The breakfasts were delicious!

We spent 3 nights at Saint Du Barry and really appreciated the warm welcome and the relaxed, friendly environment. There was a bowl of grapes in our room which was comfortable and cool, bearing in mind it was 36 C. The breakfasts outside were delicious but the biggest bonus for us was the advice about local places to visit, including...

We had a lovely stay with Wally and Joan and would recommend Saint du Barrys to anyone who needs some quiet space surrounded by the beautiful Cederberg mountains - and hosts who pamper you! Wally and Joan go out of their way to make you feel special; they are gracious, warm and kind. Breakfast is a feast with many items...

I am really torn in my valuation of this place. The place is cosy, we spent a glorious afternoon there. The owners are exceedingly friendly, offer their special rooibos icetea and a superb breakfast. But still, the main reason for staying at a place like this is to get a good night´s sleep - and that was not possible because...

The guesthouse is very nice with lovely owners. BUT: We couldn't sleep one minute during the night because of various noises! The fridge in the room could be turned off, but not the cars (the house is directly at the street and the walls don't help against the noises from outside). The power generator (or something similar) turned on every...

We had a wonderful welcome from Wally when we arrived at this characterful guest house in Clanwilliam. The room was lovely and spacious, with everything you could want including fresh milk in the fridge as well as local wine and soft drinks. There were rooibos toiletries in the bathroom, also made locally. The rooms open out onto a shady courtyard,...
