This was our first time at de Pakhuys - we were camping. There were a couple of unexpected attributes of this spot that will mean that we probably won't return. The biggest deterrent is that in the middle of the 'main' camping area is a fully licensed bar. The second is that the area appears to be very popular with...

Thank you for the feedback. Just to clarify, the campsite bar only opens from 1 June to 15 August yearly and was not at all open during the weekend of your stay. Furthermore, we do not ever allow load music to be played at the bar/lapa area. The bar/lapa/braai area and the communal kitchen are there for the benefit and...

We travelled as a group of 3 families with kids ranging in ages from 4 to 16. The service we received was great and we really enjoyed our stay. The ablution facilities are well kept and deserves a special mention. Come here if you want to shake off all the cosmetics of life and just live. We'll be back!

Peaceful oasis close enough to Clanwilliam for shops & restaurants - the surrounding beautiful red & black rocks of the Cedarberg add to the sense of wonder at being somewhere so unique & so special - great facilities for this glamping experience.

I stayed 2 nights at Thys place and, ahem, it rocks. It feels more like a camping hostel place. There is a communal kitchen bit also many hide away camping spots if you so wish. I went to see the rock art in the next Valley but lots were there to boulder. The facilities are ace, there are lekker rock...

We stayed in the wooden cabins which had all we needed for one night stay over. The beds were comfortable and warm and we enjoyed having a bar fridge inside the unit as well as electricity points to charge our accessories. Will definitely stay there again.

My partner and I stayed in Porcupine Place at De Pakhuys and had an unforgettable experience. The peaceful, rustic setting and being situated amongst the beautifully coloured rocks made it easy to relax and settle into holiday mode. We had a lovely, comfy bed; a comfy sofa and "porch"; a separate tent which house the fridge, stove, washing basin and...

We enjoyed our stay, although the campsite was crowded due to the High Line Festival they hold every year. Due to the festival and high number of campers, our camping spot was not ideal and I would suggest that they invest in more water taps around the campsite. Apart from that we were very impressed with the ablution blocks which was...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at de pakhuys. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The cottages were all spaced far apart so it felt like we were the only ones on the farm (even over easter weekend!). Beautiful walks to explore on the farm all in walking distance from cottages. Great waterfall to swim in and also great rock...

With us being the 1st to stay in the new Luxury Safari Tents I would give it a 8/10 rating. 1 point off for the gas fridge not being on when we arrived and then not working when tried to start it up (thus no cold fridge for the meat and stuff) but Thys was very helpfull to help us...
