Just out of town, but very rural. Karoo air and Karoo stars at night. Beautiful vistas. Caroline was very friendly and helpful. Provided wood for our braai. Basic accommodation was very neat and had everything we needed.

Fantastic hosts going the extra mile. We had a true farm (Pure Plaas) experience with all the little things that count added, e.g. the crisp clean towels every day. We will most definitely go back!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. We enjoy cooking so this is very important to us and very frustrating when a claim of fully equipped is made and not met. The bedroom was very clean and spacious.

We stayed in Tonnelkop just outside De Rust. While being a little tired and old, it was comfortable and the dogs were able to have the run of the plot. The bed was comfortable and whilst it may be the smallest TV in the world it did have DSTV so we could catch up on the cricket.

It was a wonderful and pleasant experience to stay over at Tonnelkop. Friendly owner and staff. Even one or two caravan spaces are available. Relaxed and enjoyable stay. Braai facilities excellent. Very peaceful to stay over and wake-up afresh and ready for the next part of your trip.

I was very impressed with our welcome because we were a bit early. It has a beautiful look out scenery and very relaxing and quiet. I will visit anytime again because they also cater for tents and im sure that must be an experience. As my learners came to visit, I was given an extra mattress at R50 which was...

This had been our first time in Oudtshoorn. The area is very dry and hot beyond measure. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and our rooms were ready for occupation. We had a lovely stay there. We would like to suggest that the air-conditions are placed in each of the rooms. We found that the fans in the...

My son (2 years) and I spent 3 nights at Tonnelkop while my husband was on a cricket tour in Oudtshoorn. We had a fantastic time, the unit was big and clean, we enjoyed the lovely swimming pool after a hot day at the cricket field, and there was no problem when my husband wanted to join us. Would recommend...

Although the buildings are old (the sliding door required a special, easily learned technique to open) and have been added onto in odd ways, in the unit we occupied, we were comfortable and not worried by the nearby traffic. The unit was clean and the beds comfortable with spare blankets available for the cold nights. Secure parking was welcome. A...
