This Bed & Breakfast does not lie if they promise you from your room an unobstructed view on Walker Bay with in whale season plenty of whales. At any given moment we could see 2-5 pairs of mother whales with their calves at 200-300m distance. You can walk 100m from the house though the garden to a bench placed on...

We stayed at De Kelders B&B just one night as we were due to go shark cage diving at the crack of dawn the following morning, so I'm afraid I can't really comment on the breakfast angle of the B&B! The house is on a very steep hill come cliff edge with amazing views out into the sea. Alet and...

What a place! Waking up and the whales are 50m in front of you. Gerhard & Alet were very nice hosts, we will never forget the glass of wine with you at sunset watching the whales. We enjoyed very much the breakfast with the splended view on the bay. Gansbaai is the best location for boat tours to see closely...

Gerhard & Alet were awesome hosts, they made the place feel like home as soon as I stepped in the door. The B&B is located in one of the most spectular places I have been to in the world. Whether it was sitting on the deck of the lodge watching the whales play each evening or walking 100 meters to...

Stayed here for one night as part of a trip along the 'Garden Route' Wished we could have stayed a lot longer. Our hosts, Alet and Gerhard, couldn't have been more welcoming. The accomodation was excellent and the breakfast was superb . As for the whales, well!!! we could see them from the bedroom and there was a short private...

What a fantastic place. From the moment we arrived until we left, nothing was too much trouble. The owners are a lovely couple, so proud of their beautiful home. The house is amazing, with fantastic views out to sea and, at this time of year, there were whales everywhere! The breakfasts were wonderful. The rooms very clean and comfy. Can...

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of July hoping desperately to see whales, but knowing it was early in the season. On the way stopping off in Hermanus there were hundreds of people scouring the sea but no sign of any whales. At de Kelders the whales were there right in front of the house for our whole...

This was our third stay at this outstanding waterfront B&B at one of the best whale-watching spots around the entire Walker Bay coastline. If you are here for whale-watching, there is nothing to beat the experience of sitting in your own room, watching southern right whales (and calves) playing in the water less than 200 yards away. In contrast to...
