Lovely spot - perfect service. Nico is the THE Barista (and wildlife guide!). Breakfast was definitive with everything one could want. Gideon's omelette is to be recommended. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

We choose the place for its view which is indeed stunning. The hotel is close to the cliffs, a perfect spot for whale watching. It has a solid quality but was not the luxury place we expected even though we booked their premium room, the ocean suite. The owner likes to give tipps to his guests for sightseeing and restaurant, if...

Dear Luxuryvoyage What a pity that you experienced rainy weather during your stay at Cliff Lodge. The Ocean Suite meets the criteria for a five star guest house room, and is rated "Luxurious" by the Portfolio Collection. Perhaps the overcast weather made it seem less luxurious to you, and it certainly made it less photogenic! Especially during rainy weather we...

The Cliff Lodge - always a must when we travel the South African coast. A very energizing place. Stunning views, great rooms, great service and a very friendly host - what else do you need? Luxury and 100% nature combined. We'll be back!

Cliff Lodge is a perennial favourite of ours and always exceeds our expectations. The breakfasts served on the balcony with the waves crashing on the rocks nearby are definitely worth getting up early for.The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Generally this must be one of the best guest houses in the Western Provence.

all was perfect - from A to Z. What else should I say... Gideon the perfect host. Gideon the perfect tour advisor. Ah, what a breakfast. The path along the rocky shore is just magnificant, though a bit too hot when we were there. Unfortunately we had to leave the day after and could not give it another try.

People who think luxury in SA means Cape Grace are deluding themselves. If you want the ultimate, then stay here. The most amazing sea view you could ever have. Great breakfasts Amazing deserted beaches No crime. ..but the most important of all, the best hosts you could ever wish for. Gideon, Gill and their staff (Nico and Chantelle) are so...

We had such a positive experience - from the moment we booked until we checked out. The service is very professional but still friendly and accessible. With no road (and traffic) separating the guest house from the cliffs and ocean, it's the ultimate location for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. And the best breakfast ever (and we are foodies!)
