A fantastic greeting and orientation carried out by the team upon arrival. During our stay here we were treated to a sundowner boat trip and game drive. The accommodation was great and the lodge well kept. Our host Mel was great and had a relaxed and welcoming attitude. The guides and ranger where informative. I found the food to be...

We have been on a number of safaris in Africa over the last twenty years. This lodge beats the rest hands down. It ticks all the boxes you would expect of a 5-star lodge, in terms of location, accommodation, facilities, food, and range of animals seen. However, the extraordinary staff are what makes this place stand out. Jeremy and Henri...

Last Minute while we were on flight, this company cancelled our accommodation with the excuse of booking system error. This is despite having had to move our bookings in Botswana and Zambia to fit in with their availability and then having the booking confirmation received and then re-confirmed.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is a luxurious riverside retreat in the heart of the bush, with all of the facilities of a larger resort. The main area commands fabulous views over the Chobe River which borders Chobe National Park to the north. As well as the elephants for which the park is famous for, guests can relax in the split-level swimming pool, unwind with a pampering session in the spa or enjoy the gourmet food that the lodge has become known for. Each of the 14 thatched guest cottages has two showers, one inside and one outside. The ensuite bathroom also has a large free-standing bath. After a day of game viewing, what better way to relax than in your own private garden with a cocktail? Or if the fancy takes you, why not have your gourmet dinner served right here under the African sky. Coffee stations are now available for guest use in the rooms. Our honeymoon suite at Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero features a private plunge pool and deck area where guests will be able to enjoy private dinners for two under the stars (weather permitting) and special turn downs every night.
