Oddballs Camp – we stayed at Oddballs Camp which had about 20 dome tents on platfroms. The nearby Oddballs Enclave is “upscale” with larger tents. Neither could be classified as luxury accommodations. However the setting on the river looking across to Chief’s Island is magnificent. The tents are adequate – the beds fill the tent so all personal items are...

We wanted to see the Okavango by plane, experience the mokoro, without having to endure hours and hours of it, and see the wildlife of the area. Flying to the Oddballs camp for 2 nights ticked all of those boxes. It is a tented campsite, adequately spaced for privacy and peace. However for the price, the tents are pretty "cosy"...

You can't imagine anything about this place unless you forget everything you've ever experienced before, especially if you live in a big city. The nature, the animals, the river, the weather. It will take few days to adjust when you come back from there.

We stayed for two nights accommodated in a comfortable tent with mattresses and feathers. Private bathroom outside the tent in the forest (best experience taking a shower among trees with birds overlooking the Okavango river). The days is scheduled as follows: Light breakfast (hot muffins and tea/coffee), mokoro (typical wooden boat for two people plus the guide) tour and walking...

The hightlight of our Namibia, Botswana, Zambia tour was the Okavangu Delta and especially Oddballs. This is a camp with tents on bamboo plateaus. At night it gets dark and you are in the middle of nowhere. The hippo´s are grazing in front of your tent during night - sounds like huge cows. In the morning elephants will be feeding...

I will never forget my time at Oddball's. We spent 4 nights at this amazing establishment. The accommodations were novel. I felt like one of the Swiss Family Robinson, sleeping in my treehouse. Really, it was a comfortable dome tent, set on a large platform. The attached bathroom was open to the stars and the elephants :) The food was...

When we boarded the small plane in Maun, my family of 4 with 2 teenagers, were all excited and nervous. The flight over the Delta was so spectacular that we did not want it to end. We felt like we were immersing ourselves into the best documentary we had ever seen on Africa. Staff were wonderful; each pair had their...

The name Oddballs conjured up many things, but this Lodge is one of the most amazing places I have visited. Firstly the 90 minute flight from Kasane, landing on the Delta airstrip, right next to the Lodge was an experience in itself. The short walk to the open lounge and eating area, right on the banks of the Boro river,...

An unpretentious friendly lodge right smack bang in the middle of Delta - and not raised on stilts so you are able to stick your toes in the water (if there are no crocs about). The staff are local and very welcoming, and the lodge has a comfortable air of a well-looked after (upmarket) backpackers.

We spent 3 nights in November 2104 and we had a wonderful time. We had a lovely welcome off the exciting 20min plane trip and were shown to our tents. The tents are snug with an attached bathroom that has a very fun, interesting and environmentally friendly shower system. Not even settled in and a large elephant came crashing into...
